That Morton dispatcher needs to be replaced with someone who cares about their job. He was ready to get off the phone before he even knew pertinent information to give his officers.
Wouldn't surprise me one bit if that Morton dispatcher only has his job because his daddy is the police chief or something similar, and everyone in town knows it, and not one of them thinks there's any problem with it.
That was the officer that initiated the traffic stop. They just happen to turn towards the police department. The driver doesn’t have a clue where he is, he never talked to the Morton dispatcher, the Morton dispatcher was on another call, as the officer stated. That officer, walked out of the building left the p.d. Made a left hand turn and that’s where you see the officer in the video. The police department is on the other side of that building. He was trying to get to the driver quickly. Not get off the phone before getting the information, the female dispatcher was County. Probably rankin, but maybe Scott County. I live here.
They do care about their jobs. You could only hear what that caller had said. Maybe there was another urgent call - someone could have had a heart attack, stroke, shot.
It's too bad our laws aren't similar to Germany's laws, if a person gets caught driving while intoxicated on drugs or alcohol you lose your license "for ever," they take impaired driving very seriously. I wished they did the same in the United States, the police along with the citizens do their job by keeping an eye out for those bad drivers, but it takes the law makers, lawyers and judges to do their jobs as well, it's everyone's responsibility these people stay off of the road, because there's no excuse for impaired driving.
@@brianlanders5306 We could learn a lot from Germany. Not only do they handle the rules of the road better, but they managed to handle the pandemic a hell of a lot better too! Good thing we’re getting our act together 🇺🇸
Good job man! The country needs more people like you! I live in Houston and used to live up in the woods area in trinity and drunks caused accidents and deaths all the time! Nobody would stop people from driving away!
*kudos for sticking with him to make sure no one was hurt or killed because of this guy's stupidity. This is not one of those kind of things where it's acceptable to turn your head or look away from it all assuming someone else would handle things*
Great job. You maybe have been someone’s hero by preventing an accident or crash that could potentially kill or injure people by this drunk driver and maybe saved someone else life from a tragedy that could have happened if you didn’t report this drunk driver but you prevented this from happening. You made sure no one else got hurt or killed from them. You also made you community one step closer to being safer.
Good Job Bro Your a Hero you saved a lot of lives including the drunk driver Think you for stepping up and doing the right thing and making this crazy world just a little more safe to live in for the rest of us whom just wanna make it home at the end of the day
Excellent work!!! I am very surprised that you have any dislikes on this video. Do the 'dislikers' encourage drunk driving??? It does not make any sense.
Jeez, people drive around here like this every day! I would have thought this guy as sober compared to other's I've seen. Texting and driving looks the same.
Irony: I'm watching this while slamming beers in front of my computer. Though I did buy multiple frozen pizzas, beer and cigarettes before I started my binge watching of these types of videos.
BenjaminLedbetter Dude. I would be afraid too. I have a dash cam in my car and if someone were to be like this white SUV driver and if they were to hit me, I would have evidence on my side.
@@BenjaminLedbetter Old video I know but I just found it.. Had to give you another atta boy! Your perseverance in not only staying with him but continuing to call HP until someone answered is so admirable! Bless your heart. Things like this restore my faith in humanity.. You're a literal life saver.. Wish u & yours the best!❣️
I think you following the person made them a bit more careful and good for you that you took the time and did all this. Some don't seem to understand that this is the opposite of petty behavior. You might've saved lives. Bless you.
You might want to reconsider following somebody down long country roads. For one thing, you could run out of gas with no phone in the middle of no-where at night. He could make a U-turn and shoot you. You were lucky to stop at a gas station. You need a GPS to get you back to civilization. If they aren't extremely drunk, back off and drive on. Keep the police updated on road changes. Get a cigarette car charger.
Nice job. I had one in front of me a couple of weeks and called in on them, and local troopers nailed them. Did I prevent him from killing someone? We'll never know, but getting people like this off the road can't help but reduce the odds.
Great persistence, that’s one less drunk on the road. Did they use your dash cam footage? It makes it pretty clear that the driver was endangering lives. Good work!
I wish cars could be driven even when you run out of fuel and phones be charged even when you don't have electricity. That would also be useful in an emergency.
I wish my debit card would work even when i have no balance. That way I could withdraw enough 💵 to feed the hungry🌾🥚🍆🍑 and no one would have to be poor 💎💎💎
Hello Benjamin Ledbetter. May I use this on my channel for educational purposes ? It will be credited in the description & comments section with your name. Thanks!😀
That male cop on the phone didn't seem to ask for much of a location description before saying "thanks for letting us know". I thought it kinda sounded like a fob-off until the cop car appeared!
30 years ago when I use to work a night shift in Anaheim California, I use to see cars like that every night driving home on Highway 57 to Ontario. Had no cell phone back then.
you did a fantastic job, I've seen lord knows how many videos of people just following but not reporting the impaired driver. sidenote: Mississippi dispatch needs a little work.
Natalie Leal it’s the lack of cell phone service. It’s a rough rural area, and I live here, the FCC regulates cell phone towers, and so does the state, so they can only have so many in certain places. There are cell phone dead spots in the area. Maybe you should talk to att, and cspire, and Verizon about it. If they can’t hear you, you’ve lost signal, it’s best to hang up and not tie up the lines, until the person can call back when they have better service. It’s not the dispatchers fault.
Good Job !!! You never know he could have made it home..But his driving on the wrong side a few times makes me think you possibly saved a life and or injuries to other people and even the drunk ! """I gave up drinking when I was young at 23,because I would drink, have a place to stay didn't have to drive home and had planned not to drive but oddly I would black out and drive home ! How I did it I don't know after a few times doing this I just stopped drinking ! I never drove to a bar and knew I had to drive home,or to a friends place and knew I had to drive,I always planned to stay there..They said I was a friendly drunk lol, never argued or fought so what made me go ???.. I later found out,at a 6'3 guy,big boned,245 lbs and muscle not fat cant handle booze, after 4 beer I black out !! With no memory at all..Hard alcohol and wine were worse !! So,I stopped ! **I drove 35 miles home ,not just a few blocks, how I did it who knows ! This was in the 1970's fyi ! Its really scary that after a few drinks you can black out and do things you are not aware of,you dont remember at all,not 1 thing..its really scary !!! I wonder how many of these people are like this...Hell,I still get the chills thinking about it 40 years later ,weird !! People think you know and remember what you are doing, you dont...NOTHING !! At least a dream at night you remember more things, after 4 beers being blacked out drunk you remember zero !!! So I quit !! Glad I did !! I just hope others who are like this quit too !!!
24 drunk drivers disliked .More alcoholics are appearing daily. They must of sobered up momentarily just to click to on the dislike button. Drunk Lives Matter! LoL
this idiot following this white car should have been arrested for stalking. And I do not drink or drive. He is damn lucky that the driver of the white car did not get out of his vehicle and shoot him
The beginning of this vid was confusing as hell. What took this guy so long to call 911? And why the rewind or ff? He see's this drunk all over the place, and just keeps singing ??? Good job finally making the call, just not understanding the beginning..
At the time of this comment, 180 people gave this video the thumbs down. Are you f*cking kidding me ??? A HUGE thumbs up to the guy who called the cops & got this loser arrested 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I drink. When I drink, wherever I am is where I stay. If there are no accommodations, where I am, I don't drink. I'd rather err on the side of caution, than to risk causing an accident. All the people I hang out with feel the same, and are more than happy to stay over, or let you stay over, if we get a party going. We all have tents, so if there isn't enough room in a house, we still have room. In the winter, couches, air mattresses and a hard floor suffice. Don't drink and drive. :-)
I truly admire you for that. A female 41/2 Rimes the legal limit totally destroyed my brother's life. From the bottom of my heart ty to you and your friends
I am older. I remember when the highway was not paved. My relatives finally put in indoor plumbing in 1967! Nowhere, MS? Yep, when it was 5 miles to the nearest paved road!
You gotta be kidding me! The woman who was in the car with the drunk-driver wasn't drinking at all because the cops let her jump over from the passenger seat into the driver's seat and drive the car home, and yet the guy who was tanked was driving the car and got a DUI? That's gotta be one of the stupidest people on the face of the earth...He's got a sober driver in the car with him, he's completely sloshed, yet he is driving the car..Gotta love it...
Clear your phone storage. It'll cause dropped calls. Touch Chrome and the 3 vertical dots and then history and delete un necessary trash. It causes your phone to act up. Do a restart or reboot. Charge the battery. Get a car charger. Take the battery out for about 15 minutes and put it back in to reset the phone. Go to settings and apps and delete un necessary apps. Go to settings and do a phone reset but never a factory reset to reset the phone.
I love it....people have to be not so afraid of this....what if they let them go and 10 minutes later u get a phone call he hit ur family....that's what I would be scared of....
