This driver must be under the influence of something. When you drive a lot you almost get a sixth sense...if the driver in front of you are on the phone, driving under the influence or something.

Even if the truck driver wants to be anonymous, you can put a comment below telling him how you feel about his action. This made him late...and he also ended up in the total wrong place. But as he said "What if you hear something on the radio, about a major accident....and you didnt make the call...."

Wow, well done truck driver! 👏 I started this clip not having a clue how and where it would end, and then it ends in my very neighbourhood. I cross those streets daily as a pedestrian never thinking much about the risk of getting run over by a drunk maniac, so massive thanks to this trucker for stepping up. Could have saved lives who knows. A minor correction though, it’s not at Fridhemsplan. This is the corner St Eriksgatan/Karlbergsvägen.

As a first responder for almost 22 years I thank God for people like you. I cannot even tell you how many deceased loved ones I have had to cut out of vehicles that were hit by drunk drivers going the wrong way on a highway, or blowing through red lights or stop signs. Speeding through school zones or falling asleep at the wheel and veering into oncoming traffic. I’m almost positive you saved someone’s life that night. I wish there were a million more like you to report reckless driving, that most of the time is caused by drinking and driving. God Bless you! ❤ Thank you for doing the right thing and calling police. You for sure were someone’s angel that night. 😇❤️

Very good job from a truck driver. You saved someone's life with your actions. You should be rewarded in some way. I reward myself so modestly, the idea is important. Hat off to get in and a big thank you 🏅 This should be read in the ears of every driver ... when you drink you don't drive. So simple.

I did something similar a few years ago, guy almost rammed me and a bunch of other cars. Suddenly just stopped in the middle of a ramp when he noticed I was following them... that felt like forever before the police finally arrived. I think he was on more than just booze, because another big mercedes suddenly pulled up in front of it, a guy got out and took something from the driver and sped off just before the cops came. Actually had to go to court to testify.

I never had a ticket nor had ever been in an accident up to the day I was hit. I had to work one night and had to drive a long dark road which also had a very long, and tight curve. In the middle of that curve, I was hit by a drunk driver. I had nowhere to go to get out of his way. It pushed in the right front tire, threw me through the windshield as the gear shift stabbed my left leg. The bad part was when he backed up and hit me again hoping to finish me off! I dove through the broken windshield, the rearview mirror tearing a gaping hole in my head. I stood up and chased that SOB down the desolate and dark road until the police arrived. I was mad as heck. It took five officers to get me to lie down in the back of my now, one hour old truck I just picked up from the dealership. Blood filled the back of that truck. After I got calmed down by paramedics, they rushed me to the hospital to get 18 stitches. I looked like a cone head for two weeks. When we stood before the Judge, whose daughter I had grown up with, the Judge asked me if I had been hurt to which I replied, yes and explained. Then, the man they arrested claimed he wasn't the one driving! LOL The bailiff to him away. I never want to go through that again nor do I want it to happen to any other person. God Bless you.

👍👍👍Big thumbs up to the driver for doing this. My father was a tow truck driver for the last 15 years of his life before cancer got him, and I have cousins that were/are first responders. Driving under the influence is dangerous, regardless of whether it's weed, alcohol, narcotics, or prescription medications. Hell, even being sleep deprived is dangerous! I've lost count of the number of fatals and DUI-related accidents I've heard about. People, if you choose to drink, smoke weed, or whatever, please, don't drive while you're impaired. Make plans to stay the night, have a designated driver, take a cab, just don't drive while you're impaired. As for the driver who called it in, I just want to say you did the right thing, my guy. We all gotta watch out for ourselves and each other out there. Thanks for doing your part to keep the roads safe. Stay safe driver, may your fuel tanks be full, and may your tires stick to the road and take you safely onward.

That it took so long for police to arrive is a global thing, not surprising, luckily the drunk didn’t hit anyone. As a truck driver in the U.S. I’ve called the police on several suspected drunk drivers, the sad downside of our job, we see so many things like this, and fortunately or unfortunately we are the first to see it, and sadly the first on scene when they truly screw up. Many kudos to this driver. Few years back, had a driver weave all over the road, police were called, multiple officers responded, driver was stopped, he wasn’t drunk but had just pulled a 20 hr shift, he was pissed at the cops and me, but while one officer was dealing with him, another was viewing my dash cam, the guy didn’t realize that twice he almost hit a bridge abutment.

Thanks for the text at the end, saying the driver's customer wasn't miffed about the late arrival. I kept wondering about it after the mention of how the driver had veered out of his route. I was picturing some furious little man shouting, "It's not your job to help catch drunk drivers! Just do your blanking job!"

He did the right thing by calling the police, who knows how many life's the trucker saved, with foul driving the way he was. My dad was a trucker and he saved several life's by pulling them out of the accidents. Thank you trucker and to all truckers.
