Wish I had this advice earlier. I was using this product, in the day, for a while and eventually became sensitive and got a whole face burn. OMG!!! I peeled so bad and after, it took months to be able to use any products.First Aid Beauty, Biossance and shockingly Charlotte Tillbury moisturizers saved my brown face.

I have been using drunk elephant for over two years 😭 - I think I have to revamp my whole skincare routine... I had no idea the vitamin C serum should only be used once a week... I’ve used it daily for so long!! And yes on ceramides!

A-passioni transformed my skin wow so surprised at this. Idk sometimes I feel like everything mentioned as better recommendations are always SOOOOOO gentle, like I never see results. All the stuff she ever mentions that are “irritating” are literally my faves and I feel conflicted all the time 😅
Sometimes it has long term effects so you don’t notice the damage it’s doing right away. But with consistent use you may be very slowly harming your skin. Hope that helps!
@@PJ-cu4cl It’s better but I dont use A-passioni, at the moment. I’ve been on my Curology treatment with tretinoin for almost two consecutive years now. My cystic acne is pretty much nonexistent and my hyperpigmentation and texture have improved, severely.

Can you please do a video on dermalogica products. It was recommended by my aesthetician and I religiously use many products including my sunscreen. I’m someone who is not easily persuaded by commercials but I do follow what experts in the field suggest like my dermatologist and aestheticians.

She's so right about the Firmer day serum !! I've used it a couple times but it irritates my skin near the cheeks and gives me tiny bumps . Although it is one of their best sellers I don't think its for everyone

Just to add to this video, could you possibly also review the Drunk Elephant Shaba complex eye serum, the Lala Retro whipped cream, the TLC Framboos night serum, the D Bronzi antipollution sunshine serum, their slaai cleansing balm, their Lippe balm (Dr. Dray had recommended this for pigmentation on the lips, so a bit curious). Also their scalp scrub (has aha so not sure if it's okay for skin of colour) and their hair products!
Yes! 😁 .. I love your channel so much. I was using the retinol and it was very hard on my skin but every where I looked derms and skincare ppl where saying it means it's working and if it didnt do that then it means the retinol I chose wasn't great maybe. My skin had never been more dry and irritated. I was using it every 3rd night for about 3 1/2 weeks. Since coming to your channel and finally seeing someone talk about SOC I was like omg k I'm stopping this --- thank you!!
If only she knew that I started off with 2.5% Retinol cream from Naturium and used it for about 2 months.... 😬 I IMMEDIATELY STOPPED USING IT AFTER WATCHING THIS VIDEO! hope I didn’t irritate my skin too much 😞 I’m on my journey to skin recovery, wish me luck !

I love your videos for people of color! I've noticed that you tend to not like glycolic acid and other acids that are known to be exfoliating because of the potential to burn the skin. And from watching other skincare youtubers it seems that exfoliations seem to be beneficial for getting rid of hyperpigmentation. I was wondering what type and which products you recommend for exfoliating the skin, even if not for hyperpigmentation and just for getting rid of dead skin cells.
Wish I knew more about products prior for skin of color I had got the sample line and the larger one for a passioni. I used for quite some time now and my melasma got so much worse. Aww i had no idea why. Thanks for info
Yes would like to know ceramide recommendations especially for sensitive skin. Also just on a note, drunk elephant c firma is an airless bottle similar to b-hydra (had to open one once) unless they have changed packaging

Love your feedbacks ❤️❤️❤️. They are very useful for women like us who are of colour. Please do a video on the ordinary. All the products are more affordable for middle class women everywhere and we tend to lean toward it day by day. Would love your insight about all their products. I also have a question. I bought the ordinary ascorbic acid+alpha arbutine and klairs vitamin c serum few months back. Now they have a slightly yellow colour in them. So i assumed they oxidized a little bit. I can't afford to just throw them away. I want to complete using them. Will they be effective again if i add an antioxidant in them, such as the ordinary pycnogenol?? As far as I found from the ordinary website's description of it, pycnogenol can recycle oxidation of ascorbic acid. Please let me know your feedback regarding this. It would be a huge help.

You've said that 1% of retinol is to much for skin of color but what if your skin is used to a lower percentage , should you stay at that lower percentage the whole year around or use a lower percentage as a cure a few times a year???

I have been using the C-Firma everyday during the day and sunscreen on top and the their retinol thrice a week at night but has not had any reactions. Does this mean I can continue?
