Currently re-watching all the early episodes. So many amazing episodes and this is one of the best. I had forgotten that Dylan had whole English training in his second grade teacher and that in 1981 the US launched the first real space ball-sack which was piloted by two brave roast beefs. Still as hilarious as when I first watched them.
"Doctor, you're creeping and you're creeping and you're creeping. But you nearly got caught because youre beeper kept beeping" This really made me laugh XD
Divercion-tomías? Oh my, the instructions are mispelled, it´s "Diversión", which means Fun, and tomías like in Tonsillec-tomies, so the (almost literal) meaning of that it's "Fun-tomies"...so, if you extract tonsill in tonsillectomies...in funtomies you extract the fun, hey wait a sec...so the objective of this game is to eliminate the fun of it by performing a funtomy? that´s why I hate ill-translated instruction manuals, hehehehe...
oh I just got it, how silly of me In English is fun-atomies, a play on words with fun and anatomies In spanish anatomies is "anatomias" and fun is "divercion" So they translated fun-atomies as "divercion-tomias" There you go (by the way I'm a native speaker so its the true translation)
I think this might be my favorite episode to date... too many hilarities to list, but A. you guys play madlibs the same way my friends and I do, with the dirtiest words you can come up with, and B. Was that Aaron's smolder face at :07? How does one support the foundation for liquidy AIDS
What, no piiilllls? BTW, diversión means fun, and tomias is the ending of anatomy, so I guess you could translate it as fun-tomy, which is also a completely made up word; but why don't you just ask Ernesto, I'm sure he could have told you that.
"Divercion Tomias" seems refer to "Diversión" as being "Fun" and "Tomias" as being short for "Anatomía", which translates to "Anatomy". Therefore, "Divercion Tomias" translates almost directly to "Fun Atomy". :) Love the show! Keep up the great work, guys!
It's a pun. Anatomy is "anatomia" in spanish. They replaced the first letter (a) with ""Diversion", which is literally "fun". "Diversion-tomias" = "fun-atomy," but in plural for whatever reason. JESUS did that hurt.
Jason Stephens, we live in a world where Christopher Walken has NOT read the Deranged Sorority Girl Email. I am thoroughly ashamed. Can you correct this error and set the record straight?
Im not Spanish but I found the word divercion means "fun" In italian = diversion is "distraction".. as your games can be both in a good way! As for the word tomias I have no clue.
Diversión-tomias its an invented word for "fun-atomy" Diversión = fun, atomy = tomias. I guess that second part they took it from the word "anatomía" which is the same word "anatomy".
Should be noted that saying "you guys have" in that way, tomais, is not contemporary. It's very very old spanish. Nowadays it'd be like "ustedes tengan" or some such.
How many games of Operation did you need? Anyone else notice that there is a whole counter full of them back there? How many Cavity Sams had to die to make this video?
The only thing that bothers me about this series is that I can't see a new episode every day. I would have said every hour, but then you would have thought me a dick.
please play pathfinder or something. literally. all you would need to do is make your characters. thats all you would need and you guys will be taring that game apart.
am i the only who never realized there was actually money in operation, or is that something new? ive been playing operation wrong for the past almost 30 years.
you guys only drink 6 beers? that doesnt even get me buzzed lol unless they are higher percent alcohol than like common beers then that makes sense haha
Wait... the guy... he got up and went to the bathroom... then he came in a different door dressed as Dr. Moley? I had to literally watch that switch like 3 times to confirm that they were the same person... this is officially the best episode of Beer and Boardgames... nice editing... now get drunk and have some pills.
yeah it´s misspelled its not even "divercion" , it´s "diversión" and what the heck is "Tomias"?, do they mean "barrigas" o "estómagos", wich are spanish words for "tummys"? If that´s a game for kids, now I see its educational level. Anywayz, its fun watching you as always guys! Keep it up!
"Tomias" is not a word. You must have meant tomais which means "you guys have" (or the plural form of you.) And diversion means FUN so basically.... you guys have fun!
