My favorite way to make venison: just fry it in a pan with chopped up onions and a ton of butter, seasoning salt to taste or none.

Matt, don't know if you care buuut... if you soak venison in buttermilk before you cook it, it takes out a lot of the 'gameyness'. I will not eat venison unless it's prepared thus. :)
