Idler pulley and belt are easily accessible through back acess door. Also when removing drum remove plastic piece from top center of cabinet. Will make drum removal easier.
How would you know if this is the problem? I replaced the heating coil and it immediately sparked and burned when I plugged it in. The 2nd go around it burnt when I turned the dryer on to test it. Its like something on the drum is touching it is my guess
i have the same kind of dryer in this video the sound i have in my dryer sounds like there shoes in the dryer it makes a thumping sound when its running any suggestions
Thanks so much for your helpful videos. I've replaced the drum glides and the drum support bearing and my machine (same model as above) is still making noise. Checked the belt and it looked OK. Any ideas?
at approx. 3:45 there is a white spacer type piece on top of cabinet body , does that support ft. of drum or is it just to prevent drum from walking forward ? mine is held on w/screw . my piece appears to do nothing. and does not seem broken. any thoughts ? thx for video
Although I am not sure, I believe that part may only be used to prevent the drum from tipping forward during the assembly process. It is not listed in any repair parts lists that we could find.
