Now that it is summer it is not Drysuit season. Oh funny man! In the PA quarries and off of New Jersey it is always Drysuit season.

Hello Christopher Thompson, we also dive a Drysuit year around. Our local lake is still in the 40's at the bottom.

Here in UK it's dry suits all year round, so it just gets rinsed, hung to dry, lubricated and hung in a cool dry place. Only goes in the bag to and from the dive site. To best preserve your suit (and your skills) dive safe, dive often!

Hello Tim Gosling, we agree. Divers should dive safe and often. As commercial salvage divers and Public Safety Divers, we too dive a Drysuit year round. Something that is rarely discussed is the investment in a Drysuit. We all try to get the best of our investment. For us on the commercial side, its not uncommon for us to go through multiple Drysuits in a season. For the average diver, we do teach to take good care of their Drysuits so they will last. Most are not diving the same environments as us.

How do you travel with your drysuit and BCD? The Pelican AIR 1606 can't accommodate both. Do you bring the BCD in your carry-on?

Hello @bloodymarvelous4790, I use the Pelican Air 1615 for my checked luggage, which includes my BCD. The Pelican Air 1606 is used just for my Dry Suit and Undergarments, and the Pelican Air 1535 is my carry on. Hope this helps.

Hi Bryan, I was wondering if you could give your opinion on rock boots vs attached dry suit boots ? I dive in a trilaminate dry suit with Aqua lung EVO4 rock boots. Which is great for the environment of the rocky coastline. However, I have heard the boots can take away from the mobility and dexterity of the finning and your ankle movement in the water. I have never notice any problems. If you would not mind could you and your staff please give your opinion on this. Just wondering what others think?

Hello Allen Gavin, great question. So for me personally, I prefer attached boots. I have owned several Drysuits over the years that had separate boots. Several of the Public Safety Dive Teams I have served own required us to wear separate boots as we were also a Swift Water Rescue Team. For me, it doesn't really matter, though, I do prefer pre-attached boots. The biggest reason why is, I'm lazy. I really don't like having to bend down to put the boots on after the fact. With my current Drysuits, its a don and done situation. I still currently serve on a PSD Team, and I still do Swift Water Rescue as well. Thankfully, the policies allow us to wear the Drysuit of our choice, which is the Orange one you have seen through out this series. If you are comfortable diving with separate boots, then I would continue. It really comes down to personal preference.

@@LakeHickoryScuba Thanks for honesty. I agree it is a preference. I look forward to your next video.
