60 card drytron with grass limited to 1, ballsy. BTW, how would you get Chaos Angel onto the field? I run it and usually get it put with benten/idaten and magikey mechmusket to get both light and dark effects, not sure how you'd do it here.
Nothing ballsy about this, as Grass is not integral to this deck and "just" another Drytron name. Btw, you can play Grass for deck sizes 50-59 as well. I basically only summoned it with Vanity's Ruler and Drytrons or Diviner lol, which means I barely ever summoned it. I wanted to test it out anyway, but Baronne makes much more sense in this list.
Yo I need some help I'm playing Megalith/impcantation and trynna learn the dryton combos so I can switch. Main problem is I don't know drytron at all so it's hard to see how they even go together
Step-by-step guide on how to reduce the size of the deck: 1. Take card from deck 2. Remove that card, done. To give an actual answer: You can easily cut down on cards in this deck. As long as your list has roughly half the deck being Drytron monsters or their searchers (aka "names"), you will have fine consistency. The shown deck even "only" has 27 out of 60 cards being names with 2 TTT in the consistency department. So, if you play 40 cards, you should aim for 20-ish Drytron names, possibly a little bit above or below that threshold - just scale it down or up accordingly. The lower your deck size, the higher the odds of seeing specific cards, but also the higher the odds of seeing multiples of certain cards and bricks. Competitive Drytron lists have run everything from 40 to 60 cards in the past, so feel free to experiment to find your own preference. You sound to me like you like playing 40 or close to 40, so you could start building your deck like this: 1. Start by adding all your Drytron names and searchers, so that you get 20 names total (start at that number and adjust if needed, you can use a Hypergeometric Calculator online to know your odds of drawing playable hands, e.g., hands with 2 Drytrons). 3 Alpha, 3 Zeta, 1-3 Gamma, 1-3 Delta, 0-1 Beta (you should not run Beta if you wanna play 40, imo) and then the searchers, 3 Cyber Emergency, 2-3 Nova, 1-3 Fafnir, 0-3 Jack, 1 Foolish, 0-1 Prosperity etc. My tip: diversify your searchers in 40 card lists, avoid running too many 3-ofs. Example: It is better to have 1 Fafnir and 2 Nova instead of 3 Nova only. 2. After you settled on your main engine, you got to add extended engine requirements like bricks because Drytron works like that: 2 Benten, 1 Natasha, 0-1 Draconids/Quadrantids, 1-2 Meteonis, 0-1 Idaten, 1-2 Diviner, 1 Ruler, 0-1 Orange Light, depending on the format 0-1 Lancea etc. - basically anything you can access with Benten could be considered here 3. Then you need to fill your remaining spots with either techs or different gameplans. Techs could be boardbreakers, generally good cards like TTT, Droplet, draw cards, handtraps... Different gameplans include mostly other Rituals (or Ritual engines) like Amorphactor Pain (with or without the turn skip setup), Perfection/Ultimateness, Megaliths... Doing something like this will make you realize whether you have a lot of or little space left in your deck. It is quite common for Drytron players to go past 40 cards to be more flexible and versatile in their deck choices. Oh, you will barely have space to add Megaliths in a 40-card list, if you care about that.
some games under Maxx "C" will be lost, not too much you can do there ("but Strider, you can run Ash, Crossout or Called By") but considering that Ruler is kinda nice vs Maxx "C" and Natasha allows you to push through a Maxx "C" sometimes...I like my odds enough already without the added Maxx "C" stuff Obviously, the card should be banned asap
