The Drytron player from my locals was on Voiceless Voice last format. Now that INFO has dropped and given Drytron new support, he’s… still playing Voiceless Voice.
Kinda surprised you didn't dip into the Magikey package for this deck considering it's also a Machine ritual that searches an omni-negate counter trap, but seeing as F.A. Dawn Dragster and occasionally Mu-Beta Fafnir already resolve that problem, it's sort of pointless if you can use those slots for non-engine. However, I NEVER thought of the Dyna Mondo interaction when these cards were revealed and holy smokes DA Draconids being a soft once per turn is super super cool. Now I'm just hoping they don't hit I:P on the banlist for this, though Apollousa can burn where she belongs. As someone who's first deck in this game was Drytron, this was a treat and I'm glad this game has been a way to meet incredibly kind fellows like yourself.
@@tumage8592 their is literally 0 reason to ever run 2, hes a brick in hand and 2 negates is already usually enough when paired with a spell trap negate much less 4 u dont need 6 in fact u probably dont have material for it.
So excited that Drytron is viable with its own bosses. We don't play the TCG, but we'll probably take inspiration from this list when the new stuff gets into Master Duel. If we're playing then, anyway.
Please give us TMT skit compilations! They don't all have to be in one video. Just drop like a 15 minute video at a time. You can theme them (like teaching fish to synchro summon, sky striker, etc) or just do a grab bag. Either way I'll be watching at least the skit every time.
Because his Dad came back with the m- monster negates he left so long ago to get and you're still waiting for your dad to come back with his monster negates, so seeing someone else's dad back makes you still have hope yours will be back one day... ...probably...
My old nemesis. I remember first starting Master Duel and of course building my favorite deck of all time...Blue Eyes. Drytron, Virtual World and Tribrigade destroyed me. Good times.
Curious that the secret village line isn't even mentioned or sided - you tutor for the field spell, then make AFD with diviner, pop the drytron field to get secret village, then make slacker magician with two level 1's. you can consistently end on DAD, IP, and village lock as a turn 1, which is (in most cases) enough to beat a modern deck.
It is a cool idea but I don't think it will help that much, sound like a win more card situation. Normally you play at most 2 drytron field spell and that will take up slot in the main for drytron names in the main as well so you only have 1 field to be change into secret village while making the deck a bit easier to brick
@shokudiablo6716 not really a win more, Drytron loses to cards like dark ruler and super poly, that's why is great to have village as board protection
@@shokudiablo6716 You can easily play 3 of the field spell since it gets you to nova, which is a 1-card starter, or it finds you the ritual spell if you need it. People just run 1 because yugioh brain since nova wasn't as good before so you didn't want 6 copies of it. Also as Santiagopepaj7525 mentioned, drytron has a problem with board breakers which are getting more and more popular in the modern meta.
I don't know Yugioh. I don't understand Yugioh. Last time I played, I was lucky enough to get a Herkalion and built myself a Gladiator Beast deck. But somehow MBT makes complete gibberish to me, fucking hilarious.
what the hell I was literally thinking about the idea of a TMT on Drytron today but figured it wouldn't happen because the deck wasn't good enough. Nice to see it actually happen
shout out to that one guy in the drytron group that insisted that benten wasnt good in the deck (like 2 weeks ago) like does anyone even know what these cards do? lol
There's a version of the deck that plays Secret Village of the Spellcasters. Ursatron Alpha can tutor Fafnir, then with Diviner and any drytron you can make AFD, which then destroys your Fafnir to tutor secret village. You end on DA Draconids, Ib the world chalice priestess (linked to DAD) and secret village. Opponent can't activate spells, can't destroy Ib, and you have 2 monster negates
There's an even better timeline where the Drytron-Ursartic connected support was actually good and kept both decks playable. If the fusion spell was good and Ursatron Alpha was a level 8 tuner instead of a 7 non tuner, we would feel differently about these cards.
Drytron is one of my favorite archetypes, and I hate that the only competitive way to play it is to ritual summon anything BUT a Drytron…. Edit: WAIT! HOLD UP! There are new Drytrons!?!?!
Makes me think a bit about how ursarctic the sibling archetype has a really good aesthetic and the whole dark synchro is cool but the best stuff is just extra deck skill drain as far as in archtype bosses go.
Great TMT broski. I really wanted to point out that he had a severe misplay with the Albion dump effect. He could’ve pitched Retribution instead of a 2nd Branded Fusion, and used Retribution to grab back the Fusion from GY. Since its activation was negated, he would’ve activated it again, and go into Branded lines.
The list looks pretty good, the only thing I'd change would be a small magikey package (batobuster + unlocking), since a s/t negation counter trap deals with uninteractable stuff like drnm or droplet. The attribute lock on unlocking is especially nice in the current format, as well as how the next one seems to be shaping up. Also batobuster being a machine with 2k attack means you can use it as meteonis fodder.
1. make good supports that extend on the unique gimmicks of archetype 2. give it a lock so it can't be exploited for annoying stuffs was it so damn hard konami?
The branded player could’ve sent retribution to GY with Albion to add back Branded Fusion and just activate it again because Dragster negates activation….
One card that I noticed you haven’t put in your list is Meteoroa Drytron, which serves as an excellent recursion tool for the Drytrons you banish off of DA Draconids and even bring out DA Draconids on the opponent's turn for some corner cases, such as the Arias + DBarrier play in game 2. May I ask why you aren’t playing it in your list?
I must say, I did enjoy pulling out the Herald on master duel and negating 4/5 effects and just knowing my opponent is wishing death upon me through my tv
i will not lie, all of the duels showed a point that im not sure i like about ygo, we can talk about interaction all u want, all of the games were just a matter of 'who has more negates and who gives up on the game' the only player that played was the 1st turn , im also not saying how that should be fixed, i just dont think its enjoyable gameplay
Damn, seeing Drytron not spamming Perfection or the other Herald ritual feels weird. Had some funny and salty moments fighting a homie of mine piloting this. Him negating my Sky Striker stuff, and me raining Kaijus and all manners of removal against it
I just wish they would give us some options for the new lock (i mean, we already have a lock and stil can put out that much). I like playing drytrons together with megaliths (yes, not the best but its fun), but with Nu 2 its kinda Impossible. Would be nice to have some other stuff to play around with
The drytron monster say you cant special summon monsters except ones that cant be normal or set. How do you go into links and synchro with that restriction
Honestly wished they just banned chaos max and amorphactor and didnt put the restrictions on nu 2, natasha was so important to the decks gameplan going second without it its open non engine or bust
@@autobotstarscream765 yeah I mean even at 1 I can't think of what you would do with it without playing a deck that natively runs orange light and drytron just isn't that deck these days, even when dry did run 3 orange light it was solely because its the least bad fairy brick for herald (and that combo needed beatrice to really be useful)
09:40 As a Drytron player I want it to be known, if you play the new trap as a 1-of like I do this hand is I:P + Dawn Dragster + Mü Beta + DAD through the DBarrier 😂😂😂
This looks really interesting and it looks fun to pick up as a new deck or just to learn, are there any channels or resources for this new version of drytron for me to check out and more familiarize myself with the combo routes and game plan other than watching this video 20 times over
Oh boy, seven negates into my six card opener! God, if only I had a way to turn one card into many on my opponents turn before they get any negates out- even better if it’s lingering!
