Normally, when I get into a hatchback, I'm excited and can't wait to tackle winding roads. However, my excitement was dampened when I experienced the DS3 THP for the first time. The gearbox configuration left me disappointed. It seemed utterly absurd and infuriating. First gear would push me up to nearly 70 km/h, while second gear would take me up to 110 km/h. How could I expect to keep up with supercars on tight corners with such gear ratios? Find out more about it in the video!

I have a 308 GTI 272 LSD gearbox in my DS3 R, and its a completely different car, you go from 110 in 2nd => 90 in 3rd plus the LSD, way shorter gears. The factory box was a huge miss, which is imo the main reason the car wasnt appreciated enough because other than that the car is fantastic

How much did that cost? Also, how reliable is the engine in general? A lot of people saying that this engine is problematic…

@@nitrowad The gearbox was bought from a yard for a rally god price(around 500€) which was only because the seller didnt know what he was selling, otherwise its >2000€; in all honesty its not the most reliable engine, the previous owner blew the third piston on the track and then rebuilt it(new block, head, forged pistons also from the 272 were fitted etc) at around 120.000kms after many many track days and local hooning; having a rebuilt engine was the only reason why I decided to buy the car and so far the only “problem” I had was that the chain streched prematurely but thankfully it didnt snap

I think Aziz has a bit of a cocaine problem. He keeps rubbing his nose and his reactions are a bit off the charts for a city car.

First of all i would never use anything that degenerate like drugs of any kind. Thats for weak people. The reason i rub my nose is 10 years of competitive boxing and pollen allergie, if you don’t like my energy. Leave the page

Probably you got no idea about road cars, if you really are that desperate for low rpm power then get a track /rally car

i don’t think you know what your talking abt, race cars nearly all have peaky power, if u watch any touring car races, gt, etc… they are always in high rpm to always stay in the powerband, street cars like this ds3 should not be so peaky and long

@@cpt_anthony you can shift the torque band depending on track/ss ,what exactly do you mean about peaky and long? Ds3 1.6 turbo engines have very good torque in mid range rpm, probably the creator didn't find anything to complain about the car and thought to make this comment all the time just to find something negative to talk about

@@Eagle430 in this case the problem isnt the engine its the gear ratios which are too long
