It's time. The final battle. Welcome to the hardest chapter in the game. As I said once before this chapter is hard even if you're on even footing. Unlike earlygame where you're swimming up a waterfall. The enemies here are the best of the best, Capped Manaketes, Pachyderm Ballistas, and... FORGED BRAVE weapon Paladins, Heroes, and Dracos with obscene stats. And let's not forget the man himself, Medeus. He is a monster, Capped Strength, speed and skill(All at THIRTY) with Defense and Resistance not to far behind with 1-2 range attack boasting 50 damage. Nothing survives a full round with him, and anything that has effectiveness against him gets doubled and is guaranteed death. The map itself is straight forward with a dark twist if you aren't ready for it, the doors will shut on given turns meaning people have to move or they get locked in places. There are Reinforcements and they are equally as terrifying as those already on the map. All in all... This Chapter will destroy you if you don't have a competent team across the board. Finally, the Music... The best Map Theme for Any Fire Emblem endgame. And my Favorite Map theme Period. Just listen... Also my favorite map in game. For all the reasons above. 11:23 This only happens if you got Chapter 24x. Otherwise you would get Gotoh, who has his uses but having a second Divine Dragon is pretty legitimate.
Congratulations for beating the "hell"! Although I don't like FE11 all that much (even my least favourite FE part), I enjoyed this LP everytime! Your playstyle absolutely inspired me! I only have beaten this game on H3 and this was even pretty difficult. Maybe I'll try to replay it on harder difficulties sometime... Too bad I couldn't watch your FE12 on your previous channel (or is it somewhere still to find?). Anyway I would look forward to watch more FE stuff in the future.
And so the journey ends... or does it? Maybe you will do "fire emblem: hero's of light and dark", if you have not already. But of course a patch emulator, rom, and patch is needed for an English walkthrough.
I'm not going to lie, in every one of my merciless playthroughs I would always reclass most of my units, used brave weapons and even provided myself with at least one falcon knight (usually either Catria or Cadea). Heck, I never brought Gordin, Athena or Est on merciless. In their stead, I used other units like Ogma, Jake and Sedgar who were great, but were killed off early on in Enex's playthrough. So I guess that's a wrap then, at least Frey, Norne, Samson and Gotoh were spared by the Mad-King/Starlord Marth/MarMar. At least you don't have to kill of this many units in any other units in any other Fire Emblem title (unless you want to build a team of replacement units in Genealogy of the Holy War's second generation).
In the end, Shadow Dragon is the worst game for Fire Emblem perfectionists (players who want to recruit and preserve every unit till the end of the game). Perhaps that's why many despise this game, though I'd say Shadow Dragon is still better then Sealed Sword and Gaiden.
Master Strategist Enex I'd say you're the best tactician in history considering that you beat Merciless Mode. I tried Merciless Mode once, and to put it bluntly... it ate me up and crapped me out. And I used Arena grinding to get the most money and exp in the shortest amount of time. I get it that you're trying to show of the Gaiden chapters and I'm sure you could have a deathless run of this game if you wanted to. I bow down to you, Master Strategist Enex. Bravo!
Are they really worth it, though? I'd rather not sacrifice any characters I can just get in a normal run, but screw Intelligent Systems for forcing us to choose like that.
Well Enex, it is over, you bodied the game. Such a pain chapter damn difficulty, so glad you at least got most of my favorite characters alive (most of.... Horace T_T) but this chapter is still a blast... that theme is LEGIT! Your team was so legit for this chapter... Hell Von Woman survived a full round with Medeus.... that was pretty impressive.
And so its FINALLY OVER.....Now im allowed to feel bad that you cleared Hard 5* and I cant do half the maps in FE:A on Lunatic anymore (screw Luna+ mode...)
you have no idea an, no idea. they cheat in Luna+, almost everyone has attack first, half your armor all the time, never miss skills, and failing that they have steel weapons on the second chapter. It is a living hell
This level is so cheap. Seriously, I just got to this level on merciless and I am being driven to insanity because of it. All the units with brave weapons are shedding down on my units' health like its nothing, there's so many ballisticians that hit with an often devastating amount of damage to units without my units being able to reach them and there's of course those Manaketes with impeccable defense/enough speed to not be doubled by most units. And the worse part is the chapter will keep firing out endless amounts of reinforcements. This level is an absolute nightmare if I've ever seen it.
