I love my d12 for low level listening, it's above my bed and i love it for relaxing when i lay down, no need for headphones or iems anymore. have a r2000 for my desk too,. Edifier speakers are the king of price/performance really
I have my R2000db on my desk + 3 other Yamaha speakers and amps + R2750 DB dining area + 1 Yamaha speaker set of amp and speakers. Edifier speakers are impressive-sounding speakers for their price. I bought a D12 and I gave it as a gift to my Boss and he loves it.
Klipsch has a much fuller, defined bass sound but the treble is too high. It can goes to harsh sometimes, but the edifier good too, but for this price?! Jesus. Edifier of course. i buying 5 of the d12 into my living room and fill up with sound. The price... Klipsch is better. Absolutely. But NOT for this price. For half the price.
The Klipsch sounds very 'uncertain', it's kinda empty and uninteresting. The violin on a Klipsch has no character. The Edifier is a little bit in your face, lacks a bit of finesse, but a clear winner.
Bought Edifier D12 last black Friday 2022 offers with only 69 euro! 😃 Damn! I can here beautifully the bass player in progressive metal. Unbelievable bass and true 70 RMS watt undistorted! Just buy in any price. worth it 😎🎸 And the treble is soft and smooth and doesn't make my head crazy 🤣
you should open the grill to expose the drivers, seem like both speakers have plenty of punch. you are now showing More interesting speakers, it hadn't happened in a while now.
I just got the d12 a few days ago after obsessing for months. I thought I was going to need a sub, it would have been overkill for the space. its perfect as is. I only have one nit pick issue. I leave it on so with an amazon puck plugged so i can stream spotify. it makes a high pitch sqeeling noise when no music is being played. but when music being payed, the noise is not audible. Other than that, i love it. will be buying another soon.
That noise is from the built-in amp, which means its Harmonic Distortion is rather high. Usually, a good amp is 100% noise-free; even if u connect a sensitive IEM to it and crank the knob all the way up, it should be completely dark and silent. But a good discreet/external amp usually costs more than 1K.
Not gonna lie I like the klipsch better but the Edifier d12 is cleaner and not as harsh and the price for the Edifier a clear winner but I like the soundstage coming from the Three II, I’m listening to all this with my Edifier TWS NB2 Pro earbuds
I'm a big Klipsch fan. I got the Fives for my desktop and RP-600M II for vinyl. And I just bought the Threes II for my shower room. However, after 30s of listening, I immediately initiated the return. It sounds so bad. so boomy and muffled like it was submerged in water, even my $100 JBL portable sounds way better than this.
Would be interesting to hear how the Kanto SYD compares to the Edifier D12 and the Klipsch Three Plus. Those are kind of the 3 I'm debating. The Audio Engine B2 is also getting some consideration. Currently leaning toward either the Edifier D12 or Kanto SYD I think.
😊👍 Considering the cost is 10 times more expensive than edifer, the choice is obvious. Yes, the Clipsch handles the lows perfectly and has well-developed highs, and the Edifer is more average, but the cost! clipsch is 800 dollars and edifer is 90-100 dollars!
Klipsch: A bit boosted in lower and higher region causing it to be more brighter and fatiguing yet bass it good. Edifier: Warm sounding speaker though lacking in lower bass region.
