Registration is now open for the 2024 Institute for Parents of Preschool Children Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing!
This free multi-day program on the Illinois School for the Deaf campus in Jacksonville provides valuable education, resources and peer support for raising a child with hearing loss.
In this video, our Family Liaison Violet Wiker explains how she helps support families who attend the Institute and why it’s such a powerful experience.
“It’s a wonderful program. There’s a benefit for all,” she said. “I think the biggest piece is the conversations and the connections that you get to have. For many of these families, it’s the first time they realize that there is a world and a place that we belong.”
The 2024 Institute is June 13-16.
