Probably the best footage I've seen of it, as far as actually seeing the motion of the tornado. My goodness what Power. I pray we don't see another one of these in my lifetime
Lordy lordy, that was a BIG tornado. This may be the best footage of the whole storm structure that I have seen. Good lord at the sound. And the i flow winds you were getting that far away early on were insane! Yeah, I would say that think may be the nastiest tornado to hit the southeast in our life time.
This is some of the clearest footage of this tornado from when it was around Hackleburg and PC. Most videos you find are from when it becomes basically a giant black and green mass on the ground that made 4 PM look like midnight.
My Dad was a Paramedic&Firefighter on 4/27/2011, & he took video flying into Phil Campbell from a Chinook helicopter. The most walk in gun safes I've ever seen, & those gun safes were the only thing left standing for alot of ppl. *4/27/2011♡Never Forget♡
Until I heard about Phil Campbell from the Weather Channel, I didn't realize how badly this affected your town. Now listening to this and another video where it passed by very close to another person's home, (I think), it gives me a much better perspective of this horrific beast! Is Phil Campbell rebuilt, or is there still more needed to help y'all in any way? (By the way, I'm only able to hear this video, because I'm totally blind, and I use text-to-speech technology to help me hear what I'm typing, so I can correct any mistakes as I go. I still also proofread to make sure I didn't miss any.)
I'm a PC resident that has been working on a documentary about all the Phil Campbells that came to our town to help and I would like to use this tornado footage in my documentary. Could you please message me back so we can discuss this further.
