Another salty session of dsp losing in Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite warning extremely sodium ahead Like For more Khantent like this • Daft Punk - Aerodynami...
He (intentionally) doesn't notice "COUNTER"-messages since.. dunno, SFIV? He would say that his inputs are on point but the game/server fucked up. Mate, he will literally say "my hand wasn't even on the controller!" to excuse some stupid input. The great thing about what you said is that he doesn't even know what is safe and what is not. Since, again, SFIV he doesn't know moves/characters good enough to know what is safe and what isn't. To him it's like this "I don't know how to punish it = it is safe!"
Yeah, he always keeps playing though. Also "...unwillingly learn from my mistakes." implies that he is actually learning something. "...unwilling to learn from my mistakes." is what you meant.
eura williams should've seen his stream last night, both Brightsideviking and another fan had a bit cheer competition on who can give out the most bit cheer for "cheerleader of the stream"
DSP's issue is that he wants all games to be like the old school Super Nintendo/Genesis style of chaining maybe 3 attacks together for a combo. He refuses to accept that fighting games aren't all the same and that the formula has changed.
+Alex M Actually, it is statistics. More specifically statistical probability. Which when studied and applied correctly can increase the percentage of you guessing correctly.
Starting to see a pattern here. He gets his ass kicked, Infinity Storm, mash mash mash. Most all of his damage comes out of this stupid comeback mechanic. X-factors/ultras etc you-lose-you-get-rewarded-with-a-chance-to-bring-it-back are as "non fighting game fundamentals" as possible honestly, cute how DSP shamelessly relies on it and has nothing to say about doing so.
Why does Phil feels the need to justify why gets opened up every single time? This is a fighting game; you WILL get opened up by 50/50s, it's inevitable. It's like he wants to be the perfect defensive player...
Im guessing that in dsp logic if he's not stomping because he sticks to heavy hitters, the game is trash and if he is, everyone else is trash and the game is amazing. I hope he know that fighting games are all about learning to adapt to how your opponent fights and knowing what you can and can't do in those situation?
That’s his strategy he just wants to do damage but doesn’t realize these heavy hitting characters come with the cost of speed. He’s getting rented by faster teams because he wants to go for brawns over agility.
"He doesn't know anything about fighting game fundamentals" I love how Phil thinks he's a pro player just because he uses some terms like cross-ups, 50/50s and whatever, yet he gets beaten by pretty much everyone. Pro fighting game player skillz right there
Talks a good game, plays a barely average one. His overall skills have dropped yet his thick head still hasn't realised. He CAN get better but he goes into every game with that smug ego.
Just to underline this, DSP did a pre-stream where he was told that actual pro-fighting game players are praising this game for having excellent net-code and gameplay. Philly-boy went on a rant that they're lying because they're relying on income for tournaments and their streams so they don't dare to say the truth and if people would stop being stupid drones and worship them and take their word over his they could see the "truth". And then he got a match up with Arturo Sanchez AKA TS Sabin, actual pro fighting game player. Instead of insulting him for button smashing, he started acting super nice and sugary, being awe of everything he did. He didn't find any fault in his game, no single complaint of lag or faulty game mechanics: just 100% praise. For someone who berates others being drones to FGC big names, DSP threw himself on his knees in a heartbeat and started ass kissing when he matched up with one.
that pretty much fits with what cats in the FGC say about him. justin wong said that phil will talk a lot of shit but when he's at tournaments, he was quiet and nice. that's probably because guys like jwong, yipes, kells, tasty steve, and pretty much every big name player in the FGC could whoop his ass, both on the sticks and in the streets. hence why he never goes to tournaments. as for other streamers, guys like max and angry joe just did reviews on MVCi and they held nothing back from it, saying that the visuals, roster, sound and storymode were disappointing. but both said that the gameplay and netcode were great and they both love playing it. so if they were doing it for the money, they would've thrown it under the bus and said it was crap from top to bottom, like phil has been saying. but they didn't. why? because they see it for what it is and not what gets them views. not to mention, watching max and joe play this game is a joy to watch because you can see them having a good time and getting better.
I seriously can't understand how DSP can day after day accuse others being sellouts and frauds and then do the same things himself. The least he could do would be "Maybe I spoke too hastily" "Maybe I was wrong about this and need to think it over" but no. Always with the excuses, no matter how ridiculous they make him look. He once almost had it backfiring him this one time when he had made shit talk on shoryuken-forum about another street fighter player. The player in questioned happened to be Based god Jaha. When they happened to be in same event and DSP tried to leave from match without paying a bet after he lost, Jaha confronted him and basically forced him to pay the bet(I think it was 10 dollars or so). It's the same incident what Jwong later said made DSP cry. And Btw, notice how salt lord here goes deadly silent in 15:00 match? That's him playing again another actual competitive player, JPbreganza who's also photographer and video-maker with his own Twitch stream. It's painfully obvious DSP doesn't dare to insult him just in case that JPbreganza's audience comes to troll him in the chat.
See this is why I like being part of the detractor community, there's always someone that has some interesting details and such when it comes to the vids. I am so used to hearing his crap when he plays I never realised how calm he was through that match and even going as far as a flat out "good game" comment afterwards. Even online in the comfort of his house he has no balls to call out certain people, really sums him up.
Take a shot whenever you hear the word "fundamental" => fuckin die Take a shot whenever he says: "I need to adapt" or "I need to change my strategy". => have a healthy liver free of gout forever goutandyou.com/gout-and-your-liver/
"He didn't have better fundamentals then me" After Phil gets opened up while blocking like a can of pringles. Phil played MvC1 and MvC2 he is also a 'former pro player' so he should be able to counter said 50/50s..
He says he hates spams. *spams the same combo ending with level 1 super attack in air with thanos and spams rocket shots with Nemesis* Yeah ok Phil sure. Whateeeever you say.....
50 50 is when someone has a move that you have 50% chance to counter because the person has only two attacks he can use after sounds random after explaining it RIGHT
Koudelka a 50/50 can differentiate in a good number of situations. I don't know if fill was using his specific example to present his point (even though the other person w asnt attempting to use a 50/50, Phil just didn't know if it would cross him up or not) a 50/50 is when someone is being put in a situation where they have to guess the next action and respond accordingly when it occurs. Phil did say that so he is indeed correct, the 50/50 requires guessing but the terminology isn't always a two way street of "50% chance he'll do this and 50% chance he'll do that" and Phil isn't correct in saying 50/50's are safe, because there are a good number of 50/50's in fighting games that are very unsafe but the risk can indeed be worth a try. If I'm wrong however feel free to educate me but for the most part phil's take on a 50/50 seems...almost correct, change some of his statements and he'd be spot on.
By his logic, he should never be getting hit because he is always blocking. Isn't it funny that it doesn't matter what game it is, he "couldn't block" and "can't do anything"? At some point he has to realize that the same problems plague him on every fighting game, so it has to be the player and not the game.
So after watching these videos the other day, I decided to check out his live stream. Phil did exactly the same thing in every fight and berated the other players for doing legitimate combos by saying that they were mashing and spamming. I decided to comment in chat that the guy who was beating him was doing legitimate combos and that Phil was mashing by constantly doing lightning shield with Thanos. When Phil finished the fight, he banned me and said that myself and others made an incredibly stupid comment. DSP everyone
Robert Medeiros for me its 1.looks like a mobile game 2.3D fighters are just ugly to me 3.boring music 4.boring stages 5.roster seems smaller than previous games 6.gimmick characters for ad purposes basically what PS allstars did.
If Phillip paid attention to anything, during his match against Dante/Spiderman, he would have noticed that they had the auto-combo bullshit on. I'll have to look again but it seemed like it did overheads automatically. It'll be hard to tell since it's Phil and he's always blahcking even while mashing.
lol at 26:03 yes it did come out and that's why you were open Dante teleported behind and smacked you down. There is no way he didn't see/hear his move happen he's actually lying about shit now :)
For someone who's always talking about "fundamentals " in a fighting games, you would think that he wouldn't have a problem with blocking, its basic fundamentals after all.lmao
YYYYYOOOO that dante spiderman team was opening him up like a can of beans. I dont know what game dsp was looking at where he has no idea how he is getting hit. Its mind boggling how he claims to see whats going on but doesnt understand whats hitting him smh
"That's not honest, fundamental gameplay/A 50/50 is not a fundamental!" *Pig-roach tries to deny what a fundamental of ANY Fighting game is to justify his loss* This is why I love watching Phil. He tries to break actual logic with his Bachelor's degree in Goutcology.
Watching Phil play is like the AI set to easy mode. He pretty much does the same thing every match. Doesn't mix things up one bit and his Nemesis is fucking terrible.
