Those are more for music/content production. And like you say, for playing guitar, either a micked cab or using a cab simulator they sound really, really good. I have the 250 ohm version.
For the DT 770: The 80 ohms is more flat sounding than the 32 and 250 ohms. The 32 and the 250 are more similar in build than the 80 ohms. (the 32 just has less windings) The 80 ohms is more focussed on achievement than pushing out the last bit of sound detail.
Exactly!! They are super over hyped, I Had same experience with them, I thought mine were defective, thought of getting a dac-amp to improve them but these are not for listening to music at all. Fake reviews are flooded everywhere who hypes them to a crazy level.
It’s the most important thing when it comes to sound, however, still important for me. Let’s put it this way. Cool looking and good sounding vs bad looking and good sounding. Which would I choose? Hmmm
Hi there. If you plug them into a decent amp with a bass boost, such as the Ifi Hip DAC, then yes! They will sound amazing for EDM and dance. However, if you don’t have a good amp with a decent bass boost, your probably gonna be left wanting for bass
seems like 990s have a wider stage and sound brighter on highs and lows and there is less mids that makes them better for music consumption comparing to 770s.
