Day 1 quick guide for the GM Times, most likely will make a more thorough guide in the next few days as I do some simulations and testing to optimize things. I WILL BE POSTING FINDING AS I MAKE THEM IN THIS COMMENT, NOTE THAT IT'S AN ONGOING PROCESS OF TRYING OUT STRATS WITH THE SIMULATIONS, SO YOU MIGHT SEE DIFFERENT SUCCESS RATES WRITTEN DOWN HERE IF YOU CHECK BACK. Edit: After doing a precise formula for Vardorvis' healing mechanic rather than the quick estimate I had before, rather than the estimate I had before, it's more like 1/8 to 1/16 chance of getting the time based on how many ticks are missed dodging axes, rather than 1/10 - 1/20. Just a slight adjustment. Ok so, fixed a little mistake in my code, SoulReaper Axe seems to be 1/6 - 1/9.7, assuming you count hits and do the special on the very last hit. I need to confirm if this is true, as the only advantage soulreaper axe has is that it has more variance since it's a single hitsplat weapon instead of double hitsplat, but it does do slightly less dmg on average in 15 hits. I ran a test and the average dps from 15 soul reaper hits on vardorvis matches what my math in the dps showed, still very surprising for it to be this much better than scythe despite having slightly lower dps over 15 hits, since higher variance is all it has over scythe in this case. Edit: Duke seems to be about a 1/3 chance at the GM time, assuming 0 tick loss and perfect execution of the method (BGS, 5 Scythe, 1 claw, 5 Scythe, double venge, thralls, suffering flicks, perfect prep). Leviathan seems to be about 1 in 3.2 chance with the 3 hit start, or a 1 in 6.3 without resetting for rubies, and just landing the insta-zcb spec. My sim did assume you proc 2 venges, which should be fine, you can even proc 3 potentially. One advantage to going in without ruby resetting, is that you can swap to venator much sooner, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's more like 1 in 5.5 for the no ruby reset tech, will have to code it later. Note this does assume 0 tick loss, which can be tricky. Gonna be doing more simulations still, as well as for other bosses. Also I've confirmed that clawing early in the fight is better than clawing at the end.
If it didn't speed up and hence added some hit delay, I wonder if any cool tech would have been possible Like if thrallss didn't exist, you could get overkill by yourself lol
Basically the ZCB was an integral part of these speedruns, interesting. Also I would never thought about voidwaker spec on Whisperer tbh. Thanks for the vid mr Kirby!
Yea ZCB kinda huge, certainly possible without but would be a lot more resetting, well I guess for vardorvis doesn't matter since I don't use the spec, and for duke I don't use at all, just Leviathan and Whisperer that would be much more of a pain.
man the duke time is still kicking my ass, I see people keep getting it. I feel like it would be a lot better if i didnt have to do the damn setup kill. I dont mind resetting for rubys but the time it takes for the setup kill just kills all my motivation.
Hi Kirby, thanks for your vids! Do you know how I can set the correct Radius Marker for the final orb spawn at Levi? It's orange in your video. It shows the greater range you can stand in while still getting the buff right?
For the first double gather, knife+log or celastrus both work. Celastrus is 1 tick slower so you either need to stand 2 tiles back to arrive at the proper time (dangerous?) or click to move 1 tick later. Messing up with Celastrus loses more ticks than knife+log too, so all things considered I think knife+log is the clear winner, even if it's 1 more click. Kirby likes the step back method with knife+log to gather his mushrooms, but I think pestle and mortar is better. Both gather mushrooms at the same speed. The benefits of 2 ticking mushrooms with pestle and mortar are, it's simpler, it requires less inventory space (3), it's easier to learn for someone who's never done tick manip before, and notably, your inventory is already sorted so you can dodge shadows and double check you're ready for the attempt easier. Just make sure you click the pestle and mortar before the mushroom, then click the mushroom in the same tick as clicking the mushroom spot. You use 5 pestle and mortar actions to gather what you need, and crush the last one as you're running to Duke.

Kirby, as an iron without ZCB, for whisperer don't even try a ruby bolt spec and send the kc with the tech and perhaps its doable? and for leviathan I assume just one ruby bolt proc then switch to bowfa right away?
For Whisperer, if you at least have voidwaker then it's probs fine to just instantly send, since you can atleast replace the initial ZCB with a voidwaker. For leviathan hard to say, when I finish running simulations I'll hopefully remember to reply, but I plan on making more indepth guides for each boss, including budget set-up / strats / odds. For now, if you at least have ACB+masori I'd use that until like 400 hp and switch is what I feel like is the play, and if you have tbow, I'd still do the tbow after the shadow barrage with the insta-tbow and then the critical tbow behind leviathan.
Install "Sound Swapper" on Runelite. In settings, turn "Sounds Effects" on, and type "3892, 5306" in custom sounds, for ACB(3892) and ZCB(5306). Then get a .wav audio file and rename it to 5306 for zcb, or 3892 for ACB, and put them in your .runelite/SoundSwapper folder. If you want the same scream I use, you can download the 3892 and 5306 audio files from this link, drive.google.com/drive/u/2/folders/1NqvtzTBIv0kZa83OZ8fyPGHZwmaFjny9 , it's the same file twice, just with a different name.
Nice example clips. I have a question regarding duke (not even the speed time) but I noticed that the vent lights up with a 100 a few ticks before the poison cloud actually spawns. How'd you manage that? ;o
monster hp percentage plugin, the IDs for the vent is 12198 kinda feels sketch since jagex patched out being able to use raidus markers on it, then people started to use better npc highlight to mark it, then jagex patched THAT out, and now people are using monster hp plugin.. you'd think if jagex specifically went out of their way to patch something out twice people would stop using a third plugin to bypass their intent but then again we have a dozen plugins that were once actually cheat plugins. i just wish there was some fucking consistency lol
It can be rough sometimes, keep in mind I'd just send it even on a 30 BGS, I believe I got a 1:13 earlier on a 30 BGS while trying to get nicer clips for a more indepth guide.
short boss kc's means times are heavily RNG based. not that they're hard, just boring reset heavy tasks. and in the case of these, look like some of the first to be ACTUALLY gated behind Megarare weapons, which has never been the case previously.
@@VallianceRS It's disappointing to me that people in the community are complaining that a GRANDMASTER tier combat achievement requires BIS gear. If you're planning on getting a Zuk helm, yes, you want to have BIS, and yes, the process should be difficult. The grandmaster times are specifically designed to get people to use speed run tech. When I logged in after the update and checked my PBs, just by farming the bosses with BIS gear, I would have had 2 of the GM speed times done completely freely and I was 1 attack over on the other two. That's with zero speed run tech, just natural RNG. The GM times aren't too hard by any means. The Master and Elite tier times by comparison are incredibly free for someone with BIS and make sense as goals for people who don't have BIS yet. If you're not at the point where a Zuk helm is on the horizon, don't stress about GM times.
Duke and Whisperer are the 2 really bad ones. Whisperer is really tight even with bis, and having to do a warm up kill on Duke before speed attempts is cancer. Levi you can get just grinding kc with zcb (I would've already had it if times were retroactive), and the Vardorvis one is reasonable.
@@Megatron9000 Yeah cause Gm Combat Achievements should be completely about RNG, what a stupid paragraphs you just wrote. GM is supposed to be mastery of the game, not mastery of resetting until RNG hits.
guide for gm speed times for these "mid tier bosses" you need max gear... vardorvis being 1/20 at the worst even with this is a piss on your cornflakes move.
@@altitudeadjustment1gm shouldnt be "do bis method for a 1/20 chance at ca" almost all time based ca's are not incredible. The skill based ca's are much more common
