My fam had a truck like this one and it hauled all day everyday, that truck never let us down but sadly we had to retire it because of emissions in cali but those years before were great
I drive one for harvest hauling onions, sugar beats and combine corn but it’s a DT466 with an automatic. Only problem I have is going up a steep hill loaded it slows down a lot.
@@802Farmers I feel like if it was a manual I would have more power. I drive manuals but this one so happens to be an automatic and it’s pretty easy and layer back during harvest. I like yours a lot more however.
@@802Farmers Interesting, and how do you achieve those horsepower? I understand that from the production line the DT466 is 210hp and the DTA is 250hp from that time, unless you have done a swap to electronic DT 466.
@@802Farmers As far as I understand the maximum that can be taken out of that engine is 260hp with what you tell me, to obtain more power you would have to change the larger turbo and injection!
You don’t really have to spend any money into it. All you do is take the cap off the top of the fuel pump to increase any power as long you are going for crazy power it ain’t hurt anything
@@802Farmers did you have the pump off when you turned it up or did you turn it up in the truck and if in the truck what screw did you play with trying to turn up our dump truck but it's really hard to get to the back screw with the oil dipstick where it is looking for some help
