When hauling gravel, I usually haul about 7 tons. When moving dirt on site, I have no idea what I weigh. I just fill it up until it's full. Thanks for watching, and have a wonderful evening 😀
What is the advantage to running small loads over a tandem? I would think a tandem would be more profitable but I guess it costs more to run so I dunno
The only advantage was one of the deliveries didn't want the tandem on his blacktop driveway and the last one I did for free to my friend. But there is no advantage to the small truck unless a tandem doesn't fit. And I tried to get both of the customers to use a tandem. And I really don't enjoy hauling gravel so I definitely don't try to encourage people to have me haul. Thanks for watching and have a great evening.
@@jeramyreberpuredirt7873 kinda been a possible entrepreneurial idea of mine to get a dump truck one day. I would definately work for someone else first. I have very limited experience hauling maybe 10 loads of a 3 truck wreck where everything burned (drivers all lived thankfully) to the dump and a few loads of contaminated snow in an end dump trailer. Kinda scared me a bit with a bunch of crap not coming out of the box like 40' in the air on soft ground so not entirely sure it's for me 😂 I did put my seatbelt on. The diesel contaminated snow came out easy cause we lined the box with plastic but the burnt wreckage was stubborn. I would think a regular dump truck would be less sketchy than a tractor trailer end dump
