During the Spring Gathering of the Dark Timber Brotherhood, there were a few people that wanted to build a fire using the bow drill. I was caught on camera showing the proper technique of using a bow drill.
It was a Great weekend full of laughs and a BUNCH of food!!!

So awesome! Even while living in NYC for more than ten years, I always carried matches with me everywhere. Now I’m in the country and I’ll add a lighter to my bag, but also want to learn this fire-starting survival skill!

I've done a primitive fire class. Now I carry lighters in my pockets and bags and stashed in my shoe and everywhere else! Skinney makes it look easy. Good work!
