Dua Lipa admits getting into police trouble over a bubble bath as a teen in this interview with Scandinavian talk show Skavlan. More Skavlan Twitter: / skavlantvshow Facebook: / skavlantalkshow Instagram: / skavlantvshow
I just want to mention how gentleman and classy of a host Skavlan is, by the way he ask the question politely and in such a respecting manner, very nice; should be a textbook example to other “talk show” hosts out there.
“As women we have to work a little bit harder to be taken seriously, that’s a fact, but I don’t think we’re afraid of working harder because it’s something we’ve had to do our whole life.” 😭😭😭 I FEEL HER
True. Society does not go easy on women. Men lust after women. They both reward and punish those that satisfy that longing since they have an internal struggle with the concept of women being open about their sexuality. On one hand, they like it. On the other, they look down on women that do. The media and social networking sites capitalize on that perpetuating a vicious cycle.
That is a feminist lie!! At least women have a choice, either to work or be taken care of by men or government . Men do not have that choice, they either work or live a lonely miserable life ostracize from society.
I’m a woman and I say she’s exaggerating. Men have it hard too, if not harder when it really comes down to be expected to be the primary care-taker and protector of the family from a certain age usually in their childhood years, and there’s a lot of societal expectations put on them that we women don’t have to deal with. People like her probably don’t even think about that. She seems genuine, but she comes off as very self-centered and narrow-minded.
Dua Lipa’s parents must be pretty incredible to have brought her up. She is one of the most likeable and talented musicians in an age of ugly and vacuous celebrity.
Agreed, so refreshing to get an interviewer who allows the space for her to talk about Kosovo, immigration, feminism etc. Most interviews are so superficial, this was a very welcome change.
Great interview. It's interesting she mentioned Moloko at the end. Moloko's Roisin Murphy is my all time favourite who moved to the UK at the age of 12 with her parents. However a few years later her parents got divorced and moved back to Ireland but Roisin stayed in Manchester. She was around the same age as Dua when moved back to London. I just think it's unbelievable what these teenagers were capable of achieving by living without their families at such a young age.
As a fellow musician, singer, songwriter, Dua seems like the authentic pop artists I've personally been missing! U don't make an album as consistently good as "Future Nostalgia" by accident... the title alone is provocative perfection
You know, most hosts would have mispronounce her name like _"Jew-a-Leepa, Dula Peep, Joe Leep-uh_ or something like that ... *BUT* here comes journalist and host Fredrik Skavlan: (0:01) his pronounciation of Dua's name was *ON POINT!* Excellent job, Mr. Skavlan.
Awesome interview. Thanks. Very well structured. I appreciated that. When I see this Woman... My desire to do music just flows away and I take my D.O.G. lesson from Her.
Absolutely love Dua,a beautiful soul and spirited inside and out. She's a bright one! Intelligent, thoughtful, introspective, creative and grateful .... love listening to her spontaneous and natural ability to be herself and communicate with ease and not be the typical cliche.
A very clean and nice interview....funny really as when I first saw dua lipa speak at a host show some time back before her name became household... I immediately realised she is very deep in her thoughts and how to conduct herself ...a sighn of good upbringing and very good parenting..to me that is so important ..she is articulate and driven..but has a huge heart ..I seriously hope fame does not force her to change ..but I have a feeling apart from the odd blip of being young in a plastic world... later she will always rise above it ...and knows what in life really matters...we are all truly blessed to have her entertaining us all...no matter for how long ..you don't have to love her music to see that ..it's how she interacts with others that matters ..she is strong so I do envy any partner she pairs up with and hope they see her true potential as a women to be proud of sharing life with...I hope she enjoys every moment of her life as it's all an experience that fills life and the brain ..even the bad!!!.
2:26 Dua was clearly searching for words at this moment. I think what she meant to say by _"right grammar"_ is actually the following: you have to speak/learn Standard Albanian, which is based on the southern Albanian dialect, called _'Toskë(risht)'¹._ In northern Albanian dialect it's called _'Toskanisht';¹_ it has the same meaning as the word _'Tuscan'_ bc it derived from the same (etruscan) root like the name of _'Tuscany'_ (central region of Italy). However, since Kosovar-Albanians are northern Albanians (called _'Geg(ë)')_ and speak traditionally the northern alb. dialect. The northern albanian dialect is called _'Geg[n]isht';(¹)_ in Standard Albanian it's _'Gegë[r]isht'.(¹)_ Kosovar-Albanians have to learn the grammar of the southern dialect at school. _(¹) the n > r shift is called rhotacism and typical for southern Albanian)_ An example to a difference between northern and southern albanian grammar: the perfectform of verb _'to be':_ ■ Northern Albanian: ▪︎ *'unë [jam] kân'* ▪︎ Literally: *'I [am] been'.* Which is how you build a perfect in german too. With the auxiliary verb _'to be'_ and not with _'to have'._ ■ Southern Albanian: ▪︎ *'unë kam qënë'* ▪︎ Literally *'I [have] been'* - which would be also the English way.
geg dialect is way older than the so called standard dialect aka enver hoxha's dialect he created this so called standart albanian geg spoke even Alexander the Great if anything you guys in Albania should learn the the true grammar the Geg Dialect even most Albania speaks geg fact kosovo Albanians from Macedonia and Albanians from montenegro
She totally killed the line about women being dissected all the time. We never ask Ed Sheeran who his songs are about but we always assume female song-writers are writing about this ex-boyfriend or the other guy she dated, etc. Why should it be any of our business that she writes heartbreak songs?
@Marko Fahrenheit Oh cool. Well I just want to say that I like her music it's fun and makes me dance. I do think she has a great singing voice but it isn't utilized enough in her pop music. (idk why maybe the studio she works with) But if you check out her live covers of other artists then you definitely can tell she can sing very well.
“we never ask” who is we? Men get asked what their songs are about in interviews all the time. Maybe Ed Sheehan in particular doesn’t do as many interviews? And what do you mean why should it be out business? She’s making the songs not only for herself, but for her listeners. She said this herself at multiple points. It our business as soon as she releases the song. Why make a song with a deeper meaning if you don’t want people to ask what the song is about?
Dua krenaria jonë e mrekullueshme! Je kryevepër, të duam e te adhurojmë pafund!!! Love you so much Dua! You make us extremely proud, we love you so so much and will always support you!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱❤️❤️❤️
Hey Deligang! If I were to branch out and create other pokemon related content other than challenges, what would you like to see? The challenges aren't going anywhere, I'm just thinking I'd like to upload something else in between challenges!
