Location: Merlin Drive (behind Kroger), Westerville, Franklin County, OH
Our fourth and final siren test with Jacob, Alfie, and Josh. We attempted Miami County's Werden Banshee before this but they didn't test due to the weather. Franklin County, however, did and we all got to experience dual tone analog Whelen for the first time. Quite punchy. It really interacts with those trees which was funny. Enjoy!
Franklin County sirens are tested every Wednesday at noon.

Grew up in Westerville, I remember when they still did the voice before the testing. I lived between the 3016 at Westerville North and the 4004 near the Westerville Senior Center

Franklin Co. Still does voice testing on the first Wednesday of noon Source: live down the street from a siren in Columbus

This Whelen 4004 has the Siratone system of a Siratone Federal Signal EOWS siren the way it is dual toned.

Nope, it has an analog ESC-864. The analog Whelen controllers had a dual tone option.

Fun fact, the early ESC-864 controllers were analog, just like the SiraTone controllers, both are dual tone and single tone. So they sound similar in dual tone. The later ESC-864 controllers switch to digital, so it's only single tone. And Federal Signal replaced the SiraTone controllers with the MC controllers (Modulator Controller) which still keeps the ability to switch to dual tone to single tone or vise versa, the MCP and UltraVoice controllers still kept it as well.
