This is the duality playthrough I have been waiting for, I swear one day I'll sit through a vod or a stream, but as somebody who spent 9 hours on a weekend practicing the duality dungeon for flawless solo, I almost got there, then the fated backpack death during Caiatl bit my ass.

This video is proof that the Dungeon is worth the asking price. Not because of the Dungeon itself but rather the content it gave Jez. Also I think this is probably the hardest Dungeon for solo players let allone flawless solo.

My first run took 3 hours. Now I feel good about myself.

The chaotic energy between these three never fails to make me laugh. Also, for the future, when you get to the damage phase on the Caiatl boss fight, you want to be near the bells that you shoot when you stun her. It gives you a buff that increases the damage you do to her by several times. If you do it like that, you can easily kill her in two to three damage phases.

The Trv argument is me and my spouse arguing over my inability to do jump puzzles.

So the biggest problem with the Caiatl encounter is that they take an established mechanic and completely throw it out the window with 0 hints towards it. When I saw how little DPS we were inflicting, my thought was "Instead of us doing the DPS, we shoot the bells and collapse the Nightmare on her for massive damage" because this is literally how the dungeon had been working up until this point. (WHICH BY THE WAY WOULD'VE BEEN WAY COOLER, BUNGIE I'M AVAILABLE FOR HIRE). To be completely honest, this season in my humble opinion, was a bit of a let down. The seasonal activity is a Public event, a team-focused mode was shoehorned into a "competitive" mode instead of being stand alone for testing purposes or a lab, the season's story is looking like "Go to the same place a hundred times and fight the dudes" (narrative is pretty strong though, credit where it's due) and the Dungeon, while very visually appealing, feels weak in the game mechanics side.

Oh shit I got the sword on my first clear too! Also got Mythoclast on my 4th and one of my clan mates was like "eh who cares it sucks anyway." Then it got buffed. And he still doesn't have it.

My fireteam and I did this day one, and every encounter we did on our second attempt, until we got to Caitl. Then we got stuck for like eight consecutive hours because the game devs spent the entire dungeon teaching you exactly one mechanic over and over with the bells, only for the final part of the final encounter where they say "LOL jk, uno reverse card" on all the lessons from the entire dungeon. And on top of that in the banner dunking phase, killing the wrong psion sniper takes 15 seconds off your timer after about a two second delay, but in the Caitl damage phase killing every sniper is fine. Its fun once you know but holy cow this is actually a very good example of very bad design.

I will side with Jez and Truv. Their is no indication from any other encounter that you are meant to shoot the Bell to do damage to Caital from the ENTIRE rest of the dungeons. If anything, you're taught to not shoot the bells the whole time till you are out of time.
