Like you I went from reflex FPS to dual sense edge... I can dropshot quicker and the back paddles are more responsive... The stick modules being replaceable makes it a huge game changer/money saver.

The trigger deadzone allows the triggers to be just as instant as the fps…set to 0-1 and it’ll ADS just as fast as the instant triggers on the scuf.

Mine just arrived yesterday. The d-pad feels like it is sticking and the right arrow misses a lot of light input. It requires a lot more force than the other buttons. Is the rubber membrane supposed to feel the same (as firm) as the DualSense? I really want to give it a shot if this isn’t the case, and considering a replacement/repair and don’t want to eat the 15% restock fee if they don’t deem this as a defect. What are your thoughts?

what‘s the weight of scuf reflex pro (with vibration)

I always wanted a scuf pro controller but didn't seem worth for the price. I purchased the edge (arrives in a few days) and it's perfect for me since I want convenience but also performance, plus I usually need just 2 extra buttons and it play on ps5 mostly. The fact that it's cheaper but also feels premium makes it better, also the fact you can switch profiles, trigger stops and analogs seamlessly is amazing.

i have had a ps4 scuf impact for about 3 years roughly and within the first week i had major stick drift, they do have a 6 month warranty on their controllers but i had to send mine in for major stick drift 3 times within that 6 month warranty window and they had held the controller to fix the stick drift and it usually takes about a week to 2 weeks for a repair so in turn scuf had my controller longer than i had within that 6 month time window. as you opened the ps5 scuf controller i had seen that they had used the same cheap analog sticks as they did in the ps4 impact scuf controller i had fixed my stick drift by soldering in a default ps4 controller board and have had no issue with stick drift whatsoever after i swapped boards after my warranty was up. in the end the major price point is for the added board for the paddles that solder to the bottom of the analog sticks on the board and the instant triggers. in my opinion i would only recommend buying a scuf if you know how to fix it.

My controller just broke.. big decision for me. Thanks for the video, can I please ask: because I have L1R1/L2R2 swapped I aim/shoot with L1R1. I mainly play cod so leaning towards the scuf. Does the scuf have clicky trigger L1R1 buttons? And what is the travel like on the edge for L1R1? Are these adjustable too?

When you customize the back trigger in dualsense edge to jump will it continuously keep jumping as long you are pressing or each press will give you one jump only?

I’m looking at both of these controllers currently. It seems like the instant trigger would be more beneficial especially since I’m using it for fps games. What one would you truly recommend?

You should look in to the beloader besavior controller… the 4 back paddles are amazing… the features that their design has are amazing, and if you can work with someone to build you one you can have a fully custom controller with the besavior mod

With the stick drift being taken care of, my next worry would be the triggers on the Edge. What's the overall reliability like for Dualsense triggers? I know they're way meatier than a Dualshock 4 trigger module, so I fear it's not like I could perform the same, quick fix.

I was wondering if any of you guys know about customization L3 and R3 buttons with these two controllers.. I am mostly playing FPS shooting games such as R6 or COD and crouching and side aiming usually used with L3 and R3 buttons are most annoying so I’d like to customize those for better play.. thanks for your answers.. Im not sure if youll reply to this, but what monitor is being used in the video? And what specs does it have? Im looking to upgrade my current monitor and id like one thats able to take advantage of the PS5’s graphics and overall power.

we need a producer that provides everything: cheaply renewable sticks to prevent drift like the edge; 1mm digital triggers, bumpers and buttons like rocketgames; grip on the back like scuf fps; 4 paddles where you can choose what type of paddles you want and a set of different sticks. that would be the perfect controller. except for games where you need adaptive triggers

On the H9 Headphones, if you switch the dongle to "PC" mode you can use the function buttons to adjust game and chat audio.

I’ve watched soo many videos comparing the Dual Sense Edge to the Scuf and not one mentions if the Scuf has the option to adjust stick sensitivity. Is the Dual Sense Edge the only one that has this feature? I bought the Edge because I wanted that feature and I love it. But I would have considered other controllers if they had that option. Do any of them? Thanks for the video.

Does third party have haptics and stuff. I know Nintendo third party doesn’t have hd rumble

I wanted one of them pro controllers and initially wanted a scuff on the ps4. Never bought one as I heard too many complaints from people where the back buttons did not work anymore. On the PS5 a friend of mine ordered a Scuff Reflex and that one broke 2 times my reason for not spending any money on such an expensive controller. Eventually I did buy the PS5 edge for my PS5 since I trust their quality much more than scuff. Still have my original PS4 controllers which get stick drift once in a while and work again after a clean.

The dome buttons on the edge are perfect for the way i hold my controller.

The Edge sounds like the winner, but I want to know how long the analogue stick modules will last. It would also be nice if Sony made the controllers in different colours and perhaps with some grippy feel.

Just bought dualsense edge maybe three weeks ago. Thought about getting the scuf but being able to swap analog sticks and avoid stick drift for only 20 dollars. Unfortunate for the edge only has two pedals so if that’s a dealbreaker might want a different pro controller

I have both of these controllers in addition to owning other pro controllers. I have to have 4 paddles or buttons which is something I wish the dualsense edge had. For fps games I use my razer wolverine v2 or my scuf. I use rubberbands on controllers that don't have trigger stops to get that instant trigger feeling.

i just got the edge and its only con, for me, is 2 back buttons instead of 4. i use to buy scuffs but every one ive owned had a failure early on, so i switched to razer with the raiju the new scuffs look slick though, i like the paddle layout on yours

Yeah I sold my Scuf for the same price as the edge. The Edge is miles ahead of Scuf. The thing I hated the most is you have 4 paddles but you can't map the triggers. If Scuf fixed that it'd be a lot better.

Can you 1 up a other reviews and try it out on other games genre fighting games, game that mashes R1 like souls-like or a racing games It’s hard to find reviews on these controllers play games that aren’t for it

I’m all about the warranties and ease of replacement, with my elite Xbox controller I always call and say it needs warrantied right before the warranty runs out and they never give me hassle, replace it no problem, I’ve been getting a free Elite controller every year for the past 5 years or so. Plan on doing the same for the sony, and fyi if you plan on doing it you can literally tell them anything at all and they will warranty it, a button sticks, it doesn’t hold charge as long, stick drift. Also sometimes they send you brand new in the box one with all accessories and sometimes I’ve gotten refurbished ones too so it’s kinda weird.

Both controllers looks really nice and well made but the price man the price ... I don't really think it's worth the price unless you are a very competitive player and really do need the advantage these controllers give.

The scuf is very nice but when I received mine it had stick drift within a week and had to be sent back to be repaired. Was a bit irritating.

I have the Dualsense Edge and love it. However I don't feel that the selling point of replaceable analog stick modules is as great a selling point as some might think. Because the thing is, whenever I've had a controller for long enough that stick drift starts to become a problem... I also typically have problems with the analog triggers at that point. On the Edge the analog triggers are not replaceable, so when my sticks need replacing, my triggers will likely soon need replacing also, but that cannot be done with the Edge. Unless of course you're okay with desoldering the old and soldering in new analog triggers.

Sadly I have the dual sense edge but I can’t seem to get my sim down now the joy sticks are no where close to the height of my old extreme rate sticks

The Scuf is a pure Call of Duty Controller. The Edge is a premium controller for every game style.

Edge is best overall. Also I think people need to give the "nubs" a try before assuming the paddles are the best. Sure the paddles are comfortable and sensitive to use, but you also accidently hit them more often, especially when sitting the controller down or readjusting your hand position. The nubs on the other hand have a solid firm click and have no issues with accidental activation. They feel slightly less comfortable at first but you quickly get used to it.

I had mine scuf since march 2021 with over 2300 hours on Apex Legends. Without driftstick. Thats amazing yes. Plus the backbuttons is more ergonomical better than sonys Edge

I loved the buttons on the Scuf Vantage. But it has such bad stick drift. Still, that side button is great for reloading. The "s1" and "s2" buttons. But I love that the sticks in the DuelSense Edge are replaceable. So you don't need a new pad if you get some stick drift. And, you still get all of the great things about the PS5 pad. I love the XB Elite. I've been waiting for Sony to answer. Finally they did.

Your paying for higher quality with scuf however ps5 dualsense has changable thumbsticks meaning no more drift .. which do u think is best?

I really don't like my scuff. Bought it and have used it once. Just so uncomfortable with how the buttons and module on the back make me adjust my grip.

I use a high rise kontrol freek on the right analog so have to use a paddle on the right side otherwise it's too uncomfortable to hold. Otherwise, I would say the half dome are much more comfortable.

It’s gotten a lot better this gen with Corsair getting involved in QA and design. The ps5 reflex fps is my favorite controller I’ve owned. The mouse clicks are great as well. I’ve had serious issues with all pro controllers in the past including scuf, Xbox elite 1 and 2, battle beaver and aim… The ps5 reflex fps is by far the best I’ve owned but have not tried the edge as I have no reason to buy one

I've played with a scuf impact for years, I've never seen the point in mouse click triggers when I always swap ads and shoot to R1-L1/bumpers, it's just better imo. Leaving the triggers normal for games that require them. For the past month I've been playing the ps4 version of mw2 in ps5 just so I can use the impact, I found myself constantly trying to press paddles on the ps5 controller that aren't there (gulag time). So looking into reviews for the edge v reflex. Main issue is the price, but I've always sworn by scuf 🤔

Huge price difference between somewhat similar controllers. I love the edge. I was surprised at how much I liked it. I have a Lotta controllers and find that I’m using the edge pretty much all the time now.

Apparently Scuf now has 1 year warranty on their controllers. I’m on the fence between the two, what is your guys opinion? I mainly play battle royale games such as fortnite and stuff and fighting games. Heard plenty of bad things about the scuf getting stick drift or triggers breaking after warranty ends and it was only 6 months, but now it’s a year long warranty, so I’m assuming that solves that issues as I could just always return it. What do you guys think?

I freaking love my edge! Previously I always went with the razor raiju for my pro controller and they were fantastic. Then when the ps5 came out, I’d mod my controller instead with the back paddle and mouse click kits off Amazon. Was so excited when Sony and razor announced there new controllers. I my get a razor one further down the line, but for now I’m more then content with the edge.

Seems like the the triggers are the only big reason to get the Scuf, but does it really make a huge difference

Ive been using scuf since they made the ps3 controllers and only have had a couple problems and still use scuf till this day. Alls they need to change is Hall effect thumb sticks and it will be unbeatable

But you can also adjust the travel sensitivity on the edge

I preferred the reflex FPS until my R2 trigger broke and it was out of warranty. I ended up getting the dualsense edge and I'm loving it. I just miss the 4 back button set-up on the reflex FPS. It was great for Rocket League and COD. But I'll never buy another Scuf due to their poor quality control and horrible warranty.

I like the idea but i feel like scuf is just not worth it. With the player kit + my customized controller i would pay like 400€… i get all of these features with slight downgrades maybe from the playstation edge controller. The literal ONLY pro they habe is two extra buttons. However, if i was really after the extra buttons I‘d much rather go for the razer wolverine v2 pro with SIX extra buttons. Especially the top two extra buttons are much better placed than the scuf. Idk not completely sold for now

I own a Scuf and Aim controller and right now I hate my Scuf. My Scuf is new I just got it around Christmas. When I press L3 I get R3 responses so instead of running in COD I’m swinging like an idiot. I like the way Aim feels too it’s more big and feels great on my hands. Im going to get the Edge when they offer more colors.

The edge controller u can change the dead zone of the triggers so u can literally blow in it and it would shoot

Anyone wondering which one to go for: Go with the edge controller. I got my Scuf about 10months ago and the left stick has so much drift it's borderline unusable. Because the warranty is only 6months, I wouldn't recommend this controller to anyone, especially with the $250 price tag. Get the official pro controller.

You can't replace the Potentiometer in scuff reflex. I bought one and got drift in 4 months (I play about 2 hours per day 3-4 on weekends.) Go with the Edge its better.

Having seen this, I feel like this was Sony's direct answer to Scuf and other 3rd parties controllers. Throwing in add ons like a hardshell case is very unlike top console companies

I never use L2 and R2 for shoot becouse of an angle, and for the crouch I use R3, the best sensativity for me it`s a COD games, but I wish to tune it in Rainbow six, Battlefiels and Apex. So Edge it`s pretty good choice for me
