This video is of my latest mod project.
I converted my Dualtron Raptor into a Dualtron Limited with Ultra hubs.
Parts list for this conversion:
DT Limited main frame (battery compartment)
DT Limited head and front shaft
DT Limited Battery
DT Limited controller v3 (2in1 latest model)
2x DT Ultra hubs/ motors
DT Ultra Front and Rear swing arms
2x Rotor adaptors for DT Ultra hubs
2x Calliper brackets
2x Magura MT5e

Having owning a few dualtron such as the limited ii V3 and Ultra V2, I highly recommend you Sash to upgrade the handlebar. The aftermarket one has a much more rigid feeling and you would feel more comfortable cutting corners at high speed than the stocks. Plus they are quite easy to install!

I'm planning on doing this with my MX that already has a DT3 controller. Apart from the swing arms, is there a need for me to use an ultra neck or will the MX neck be enough?

Just an update, I am finished with my own conversion. Used the same front and back suspension blocks/neck and just used ultra arms and ultra hubs.

Great work! And what is the max speed? (please write speed for single and dual mode)

Thank you, top speed according to odometer during first ride was 78kmph on straight road, dual hub, turbo on. No tests done using single hub mode. Once the rain has stopped I'll do another speed test with an GPS app to check if the first results were accurate.

Oh my god 78 km))) I want to modify my raptor too after this video) How do you think if i change on my raptor only front and rear wheel (+front and rear Arm) will it work same way like yours? And how do you think - how much kilometers i can drive on such hybrid?) (if original raptor can drive 60 km distance - it will drive only 30 km?)

Vladimir Osipov my first concern would be the Raptor battery, you’ll loose a substantial amount of your maximum distance, the Ultra hubs need a lot of juice. Second, the Raptor head and front shaft only allow for an 8inch hub, the travel between shaft and hub on 10inches is hardly 2 fingers. 11inch hubs won’t even fit, even with each respective swing arm.

Why you have single controller? Isn't that on dualtron ultra is 2 separated controllers? Can you share link where i can order that controller?

That's the new 2-in-1 controller. One case for two controller boards.

Vladimir Osipov Hi, I ordered the Ultra hub motors from passiongadgets.com, the other parts were sourced from bwss marketplace (facebook) and carousell.sg. An alternative would be to order everything on aliexpress, KWK Smart

Can you put the wheels and suspension from the ultra to Ex+?

Are you talking about the motors and the swing arms? Yes practically you could install those parts on an EX+ body. But don't ask me if it will run. As far as I know the Ex+ runs on 52V, you could under-power the hubs but I can't say if the battery could power both motors. Unless you're into modding and want to experiment, I'd suggest you just sell your Ex+ and get yourself a second hand Ultra from Singapore for 2000$SGD.

Wouldn't it be easier to sell the raptor and get a new Ltd? What is the weight after the modifications?

Nikolaus Schlifke We’ll where’s the challenge in that? Haha Yes of course it would be easier to just buy a Limited or Ultra. Seriously, I’m enjoying the modding part of this hobby. Current weight is 30kg

Sash O Hehe yes, I would imagine that the 2 10 inch motors and tires in conjunction with the new hubs cost quite a bit for an upgrade. For me the most important safety improvement for my raptor is adding 2x 10w led lights with 3A 12v power converter. you can mount the converter to the plastic sheet below the bow that connects the body to the stem. I have designed a 3d printed mounting bracket for which I ca share the design if you like.

Nikolaus Schlifke oh that’s interesting! I’ve upgraded the stock 3a 12V dc dc converter to 6a 12v. But it’s still in its original location in one of the plastic side panels. I’d appreciate it if you could share your design. Thanks!

oh btw, I used 11 inch motors for this upgrade, running on a v3 LTD controller.

Here is the design, it's fairly universal meaning it can be customized to any stem. There is a relative big amount of manual labor involved (for 3d printed things that is) but it's rock solid as it used aluminium profiles for strength. www.thingiverse.com/thing:3016713 I'd have to clean it up a little for other people to be useable, if you are aren't familiar with openscad you can use the customizer to download a stl file: www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer/run?thing_id=3016713 As of right now there not every parameter is in a variable that the customizer can use and some are unrelated.

you could have bought a dualtron from singapore there are even modded ones that can go speeds up to 100km/h and given singapore new ruling on Person Mobility device our dualtrons cant be used any more due to the Weight limit set by Singapore Land Transport Authorities

Yes I actually got a second DT from Singapore, and that’s by the way where I got all the parts from. This was a fun project for me, and I got more personal experience out of it than just unboxing another escooter and riding it.
