Great video. Too bad these youngsters didn't give a real chance to this food. :) It's delicious. I hope Alen will play way bigger role for Dubs than all the other Serbian players that passed through the club.
@@connoro8888 What? I was raised on southern cooking, and my wife's from TN. Who the fuck is boiling greens in brown sugar? Someone needs to get a switch for that.
as a serbian living in america, having the treat of going to the city and ordering some Burek and yogurt is like... heaven to my soul. all my american friends have tried Cevapi, Burek with Yogurt, Sarma, Pasulj + cabbage salad, they all love it. they showed me respect, tried everything once, and cleaned their plates. Serbians LOVE when foreigners enjoy their food, it is an Honor.
I'm American and I'm black. I'm originally from Africa. I will say that this was so disrespectful. You don't act like someone's cultural or country or native meal is trash. Every meal in the world doesn't have to taste like what your use to.
I am from Slovenia, but live in Austria. And when I made my co-workers Burek and said they should have yogurt with it, they thought it was sauce and gave it on the burek. I was, noooooooooo, what are you doing :D . But to be honest, cheese burek is better! And the two countries are neigbours.
What's wrong with these guys, everybody in the Balkans loves this. For me, ćevapi is the best food ever and yoghurt is really good, it's just a bit sour. These guys are crazy, I'd eat that in a second bro
The American dudes seem really inappropriate and that they clearly are not well educated by their school or parents, good player no doubt but they need to learn to respect others with different culture, as many others do towards US tourists. Alen seems like a cool dude.
@@justgohan6346 this person is an croatian hater just shiting on everything serbian because his existence as a croatian depends on hating serbia so try to ignore him
This actually reminds me of my friends here in the Netherlands who went on vacation to Greece for a month so when they came back I was wondering what they thought of the food in Greece as their food is superb really. To my dismay they said they hated it because it tasted weird ( read it LOOKED different ) and as a matter of fact, they went there all prepared so they brought Dutch fast food which I wouldn't even give to a dog as it is extremely processed and is horrible food, even the supposed fast food which we from the Balkans consume would be considered a fresh prepared meal compared to what those dudes brought with them and they ate it for 4 weeks straight and keep in mind they went to tourist centered place which would serve very neutral dishes, not the delicious soulfood which we would consume when visiting relatives or local restaurants so that pretty much made it clear to me how people can be shallow when it comes to food.
Greek brother you must understand that these are new breed of people who dont even eat real food for black people soul food is macarone and chesse like pls and holland only eats potato with holandese sos that doesent even have a taste lmao
Haha these grown men are acting like children. The way I was raised, you eat whatever is on your plate and shut up. I would've devoured that. I'll eat anything you give me.
This is entirely discriminatory towards Serbian culture. I would go as far as saying that they treated Alen like a 2nd class citizen. I am appalled to say the least. Sad to see that the Warriors tolerate such behaviour.
You dont just finish chewing you chew, take a sip, take a bite and then swallow the first bite you need to always be chewing until the meal is finished
part of experiencing other culture is through their food.... i understand if you have food allergies however its a bit disappointing as if they are going to be tricked into eating something nasty.....
Em ih ugostio ko coek em doneo burek em doneo cevape pa ja bi plako od srece da vidim sve to na istom mestu u isto vreme.Mozda zivimo siromasnije i sve ostalo al smo u hrani najbolji...
i don’t think they’re being disrespectful at all. just a group of young friends cutting up about food. i honestly think some of you commenting just don’t like black people/americans.
no nobody hating those two guys because they black, wtf you didn't saw how they were disrespectful. On Balkan food is tradition so for them not even wanting to try and making fun of something that they even don't know is wack.
Burek is Serbian/Balkan's form of 'FAST FOOD' of Turkish origin and is often consumed with 'Buttermilk'! Burek is a large 'wrap' filled with ground meat, feta cheese or apple. It's delicious but it's 'acquired taste' for westerners unaccustomed to Middle-Eastern cuisine.
absolute disrespect towards Alen. The two other guys are entirely uncultured and all that NBA money cannot bring them class. Out of respect id try all the dishes, without disrespecting the man that has put the food on the table.
serbian food is mostly meat bread vegetables potato yogurt very tasty lot of calories salty spice no sugar on it. im so disappointed . you guys dont know what are you musing.
You can make it by yourself a home. Easy. Get 1L of milk, make it little bit worm not too much. Liitle bit more then room temperature. Put in about 100-200 mL of any kind of yoghurt plain that you can buy in your local market. Mix it good. Cover it. Place it overnight (or 6-8 hours) at some worm place. Than you can cool it in the fridge for about 2-3 hours. Than put it in some mixer to make it liquid. Enjoy!
Viši inspektor Bešević thank you my friend I also got a yoghurt maker machine at home Its great yoghurt but it doesnt reach tekuci yoghurt level of tastiness
