Detailed review - thank you sir! Still unsure because of the price The only reason I will looking at the Dubs was because the wires for the headbands I have previously owned, normally break due to all my head movements from side to side.

You're welcome, I'm happy to hear you liked the review:-) Honestly, I think any headphones with a relatively thin wire connecting them have a risk of being damaged if you sleep with them on. The question is how much better is one set than another for this, and how much of it is down to (bad) luck or a particular movement you make in bed rather than how robustly they are made.

You're welcome Jyoti! Yes, if you sleep on your back I think they could be good for both of those as you should be able to hear them clearly.

There’s so many expensive ones out there which I don’t mind paying for but what bugs me is that for their prices they cannot do things that I would consider basic such as playing your own music from RU-vid Spotify or whatever but instead they have their own dedicated app with specific sounds and for me that just doesn’t justify their price tag such as the BOSE. This market is very small and I hope something good comes out in the future

Good review, just a quick question, do they have ones in one's ear, ie bluetooth and NO wires at all?
@nosleeplessnights1
@nosleeplessnights1 3 года назад
Thanks! I don't think so, no. I mean, these work via Bluetooth but they have that single wire connecting the two speakers.

Excellent review but sadly the headphones only last 6 months until they start having connection issues. I have the wired ones. Love them but 6 months later the right side stopped working. They are sending me a replacement, but at that pricetag I would expect them to last at least a year.
@nosleeplessnights1
@nosleeplessnights1 4 года назад
Thanks Al, I appreciate the compliment! It seems that this is a fairly common problem with headphones designed to be used in bed. In my opinion, it's partly because the manufacturers need to find a way to make the headphone as thin as possible. But thin design perhaps is at risk of fault when they are used in bed for hours on end, night after night. Add to that the fact that a certain percentage of all tech products will fail at some point for various reasons, and you have a recipe for a slightly risky product I guess. Still, it's good that they are replacing them, even though I agree that ideally they would last longer.
@alwaisman8501
@alwaisman8501 4 года назад
@@nosleeplessnights1 I was actually thinking about how to avoid this issue and make it last longer since it is an expensive product. They always seem to fail where the black rubber piece ends behind the ear. Maybe they should reenforce the opening a bit more. It can be done at home with Sugru. Maybe I will try it.

It's criminal that Bose stopped making their wired sport headphones. Now you HAVE to either use their wireless sport.....or buy the $350 wired version. So, I've been looking for something to replace the Bose that sounds as good, but solely for sleeping. I'm hoping this product is comparable....especially for $150. 99% of the time, I'm listening to ASMR to fall asleep. Very rarely will I use my next sleep earbuds for music.

@nosleeplessnights1

Either good earplugs or good noise cancelling headphones would be my top suggestions. A white noise machine can help too, if you like the sounds they produce.

I think you meant 14:38 for the timestamp for negative. I have to admit, after sleeping with Powerbeats pro and AirPods for a year, they still win the game for me simply because you can bury your non-listening ear in the pillow and keep the case with that ear in a pocket and the other ear full of a cable-less product, and just pause on rolling over to swap ears into the case. It can be annoying, but to me the it's the least obtrusive of 'sleep' listening thus far. GREAT video!
@nosleeplessnights1
@nosleeplessnights1 4 года назад
Hi Grubie, you're absolutely right - thanks so much for bringing that to my attention, I've just corrected the timing! That's a really good idea you have, especially if you don't tend to change position whilst you're listening to music. And I guess once you're asleep, it doesn't matter so much if you move position as long as the sudden break in the music doesn't wake you up or you accidentally squish them!

Hi thank you so much for the videos, i have noisy neighbours who play music loud late at night and im a very light sleeper, its really affecting me. I dont mind paying for anything what would you recommend, im side sleeper, am i just better off with plugs, thank you in advance
@nosleeplessnights1
@nosleeplessnights1 3 года назад
You're welcome. If your goal is to block out very loud neigbours, rather than block them out with music specifically, then personally I'd suggest earplugs as that's what works best for me. The only time headphones seem to do a similar job is if they are really good ones and I listen to music relatively loudly - not soft meditation music, for example. But unless I'm exhausted, that often means I'm kept awake by my loud music instead! So although earplugs probably won't block out every last bit of sound if your neighbours have a serious sound system playing music that's rattling through your walls, they will probably cut out more than some headphones with relaxing music. That said, you need to get decent earplugs that fit you well. But for a lot less money than some new headphones, you could pick up several different size and types of earplugs to find the ones that work best for you. It might seem like a waste of money (which it might well be), but in my experience, even tiny differences in earplugs can translate to a big difference in how effective and comfortable they are for you personally. I wouldn't go out and buy several ones at once, as you might get lucky with the first ones you try. But I would be willing to invest in some trial and error until you're happy with the results. Best of luck - I know loud music at night is a tricky one to handle! As for specific brands, there are lots of good ones. I personally use Mack's ultra soft foam at the moment as they have a good balance of comfort and noise reduction. But as I say, there are many decent ones to try, such as Howard Leight, Hearoes, Flents and Moldex.

@@nosleeplessnights1 Thank you for your reply. As I suspected, i’ll stick with earplugs (im using Howard Leight Laser Lites, they do a decent job, was gonna go for the Quieton but im sure they’ll b uncomfortable as i have sensitive ears. I used to sleep in my regular wireless apple AirPods, in the morning i would wake up and find them in bed. If i could not find them i would play a sound on them to find through find my iPhone app. One time i wake up and one of them was gone. I played the sound no success it was showing that it was last in the room too. I started suspecting that it was swallowed it, next day i shit it out, but that whole time i was thinking i was going to die because of the battery inside. Will never ever use wireless airpods in bed.

Hi Robert, I haven't but do have them on my radar for future reviews. They look very interesting, and I can imagine the sound quality will be great. I do wonder how annoying it will be if you wear them in bed and one falls out, potentially meaning you have to search for it under the covers, or on the floor if it rolls off the pillow. So I guess that will be a personal preference as they do avoid having any cable or headband in bed.
@thelazyalgorithm8164

You don't want to use them for sleeping, I have the orig. which has no noticable hardware difference, they constantly come out during sleeping, and can result in quite a search for one bud the next morning.

@@thelazyalgorithm8164 *i have the plus version and they are designed NOT to fall out, if yours do then its the crap version the plus version is designed to have double the battery power and better bluetooth connection. @tonym3185 3 года назад
@@nosleeplessnights1 I didn't think they were anything special. They were ok, definitely not worth the $200 price tag. Glad I only paid $80 for them 12 months ago. The Dubslabs Bedphones are a cheap item being plugged as though they are a high priced item. Its also worth noting that all the reviews on the Dubslabs web site are 5 stars. That's because there site automatically defaults to 5 stars and if you try to put in 1 star you get a reply saying that they are going to review your review and your review never gets posted.
@nosleeplessnights1
@nosleeplessnights1 3 года назад
@@tonym3185 Thanks for the additional info. I just checked, and there are indeed a large number of 5 star reviews, of which some at least will be warranted as most products do appeal to at least some people. There are also a number of 4 star reviews with clear criticisms from people. So although there weren't any 1, 2 or 3 star reviews I could see, they do at least publish written criticisms that accompany 4 star reviews. To be honest, after eight years of reviewing sleep products, this wouldn't be the first (or last) company I've seen that's careful about how much they shoot themselves in the foot with negative reviews on their own website. It's a fine line to walk in opening your own site up to criticism. I'll leave it to you, and others, to judge how well they walk that line. But sure, in the ideal world you'd like to think that if there's a customer review rating system on a site, it's not manipulated. But even giants like Amazon have problems with this; manipulation of reviews is a widespread problem I think. For my part, I try to do my best in creating balanced reviews that look for both the good and the bad in a product, while resisting the obvious temptation to hype products in the hope of making more money.
