Ducati clutch fluid flush and bleed and lever freeplay discussion for radial master cylinders, in this instance an 848. But it's the same as any of the radial masters 749/999 and onwards.
If you find my somewhat odd and varied pronunciation of "reservoir" annoying, join the club. Surprises me sometimes the way I say stuff. Never sounds like that in my head. Not that I notice anyway.

It warms my heart to see this. So many XX98'S have brown clutch fluid.

Hi Brad. I just swap my levers for a similar black ones. I feel the shifting to be too harsh. I tried to copy the length of the adjustable travel but I think I'm missing something. I will try to adjust it by your "liquid level method". Thanks for the explanation.

Hello, My clutch after holding it pressed, starts to slowly lose pressure in about 5 seconds and engages slowly, at that point neutral is impossible to find. Each time this happens, when I kill the engine on the button and release the pressure from the clutch lever, it feels like nothing is pulling it back to its original position. I inspected the bike for leaks, even at the slave, there was way too little at slave to justify this behavior however, I ordered a new slave to remove any leak. I noticed later that the fluid level on the reservoir is slowly increasing when I hold the clutch under pressure and then it decreases pretty visibly when I release the lever. Will a master rebuild fix my issue? have you ever experienced something like this? I looked over the diagram and it seems that the first seal from the piston is the one that failed in my case or is there a one-way valve in this system? Thank you!

sounds like the master has failed. depending on model you may be able to get a kit.

@@bradthebikeboy Hello, it is and 2008 SBK 848 like the one from your video, I found an original Brembo repair kit for 37 euros so I just ordered one too and I will repair it. Thank you for your fast response.

@@bradthebikeboy hello again, while waiting for the repair kit I worked on a provisional solution and it worked, I switched the high pressure gasket with the one from the low pressure and now it works perfectly without leaks. To my surprise , the high pressure gasket was thinner and a bit more loose, but it does a good job on the low pressure, now I keep an eye for external leaks but so far so good, still no leaks 👍
