Unfortunately the main attraction to the Multistrada v4 to me is the long valve service intervals the RS no longer has this

The matt paint put me off changing my PP order to the RS more than anything, also as all of my riding is on the road i wasn’t sure the motor will be as good as the Granturismo for my needs.

Yes there’s certainly a few downsides with the RS that you have to consider, servicing and insurance can add to the cost. My buddy’s been getting quotes of over £1800 to insure the RS after paying only £540 for the PP. I think the bike looks better in the flesh than on the video but I guess it’s everybody to their own when it comes down to colours and paint finishes. I’m certainly looking forward to having a go on the RS but it sure is going to be a bonkers bike! 👍

Gorgeous bike! A tiny correction, the clutch is not lighter, its actually way heavier than the wet one.

I put 1k down on the day it was announced , withdraw it when I found out which engine was going in it, as the grandturismo engine in my pikes peak makes more sense, and I don’t like the kiddies/childish paint scheme ,dry clutch would also annoy. But hey that’s me , I covered 12500 miles in 12 months on my pikes peak, I do use my bikes not pose ,

The pp was definitely the right choice for you that big service interval would soon come round. I’ve riden the pp and it’s more and enough power. The Rs will be a bonkers bike but looks good fun. I like it but not for me especially at that price. 👍

Beautiful bike but I’ll stick with my pikes peak as it ticks all the boxes with the top box being main deal Clincher. I ride two up and the mrs could t get on the back without top box . Health to ride your rs,beautiful and if it puts a smile on your dial that’s enough reason to buy it

@@thatbikersimon I think the cost is more due to all the bends and shapes they have to make with the v4 engine design with the front cylinders and rear cylinders so far apart. With an inline 4 like on my m1000rr they are all in a very symmetrical layout with few complex bends on the metal. Full systems on v4 Ducati are very complex by design.

@@theonlyredspecial when I had a v4 streetfighter it was 5 hours labour and that’s just the link pipe and end cans. I got my local garage (not Ducati) to take them off a year later and it took him all day. He said it was a nightmare 😂

@@krmicekroman I think they do have to state that to cover themselves, but it’s insured with it on. The police if they wanted to be fun and fine you they could but it’s very unlikely.

Amazing and beautiful bike, but I'm Ducati Streetfighter V4S owner, and I think Multistrada V4S with full Akrapovic sound better than Streetfighter or Multistrada RS....maybe it's just me.

Interesting question and I shall explore that a bit more when we shoot some videos on this bike. My first thoughts was it did sound very nice and completely forgot the bike had the Streetfighter engine in It at the time of listing to the exhaust. But il make a note of that 👍🏍️💨💨💨

I think ultimately it comes down to what you want the bike to do? It’s certainly not going to have the fuel range of a GSA but the multi will have the fun factor

I am not sure why Ducati have done so many variants of the ms… to me the most usable one on our potholed overcrowded speed camera’d roads is the v4s. The pp now seems a poor man’s rs.. I think Ducati have fallen on their sword a bit with this , if for instance you ride say 150 miles on our roads across country .. are you going to arrive any quicker on the rs? Will you have a bigger smile on your face when you arrive ? Maybe? Your into more service intervals and more cost , where and when can you realistically use the power on the roads to its full potential here in the uk? If you were in Europe yes I get it .. nice bike but I’d rather have the mv4s I think. Most of the uks roads are in a woefully bad sorry state now.

I guess this bike was designed for the people with a few quid to burn, so I get it. Ducati just want to stay ahead of the game. For me personally I find My 2021 MSV4S just a good all rounder I’ve even done a track day on it lol and yes it works well on the potholed uk roads 👍

If I got the money, the MTS v4s would be my pick, cheaper and better for everything except the fuel consumption (I know v4 consume more but it would be better if Ducati manages to increase fuel economy)

It’s a more sensible option but this RS is a bonkers bike but still a awesome bike. Il stick with my Multi V4s for a bit longer. The biggest issue with the RS is the insurance at the minute. It’s very expensive 👍🏍️💨💨💨

99% of other road users will think this costs about £4000, so I don't see the point personally., given that you could do 99% of the riding he does on £2000 worth of bike. The fact he says he wanted a bike with RS written on it to match his car, tells me everything I need to know about the sort of people who will buy this bike 😂
