bcoz of crossplane crankshaft produce that sound..even d engine still inline 4 but the crankshaft work different way..can google it then u knows how they work like..
commantros exetlos yes what is your experience with Ducati?O yeah right you never owned one.i have done 30000 km on my pani in two Seasons without any Probs my s1000RR 2012 after 6000km Bearing shell issuise .Only good that the Bike was unther Warenty if not they cost me a couple of tausend. After BMW fix that the Bike was selling. Please dont talk that Shit if you dont have any Experience about Ducati
Hey nice video! I'm creating a super nice video of a compilation about the Ducati, could I use your video for this compilation? Of course with your credits on the video and your link in description :) thank you so much, nice video again!
From these races the Ducati seems like it is right in line with the other liter bikes....definitely doesn't seem faster from these videos. Thanks for sharing!
Great video! I'm curious how the V4 would do with the factory Akra exhaust + flash vs these bikes. I've got the full system on order for my V4 base but I'm being told May at the earliest to get it up here. Plus I don't have the balls to ride like that on the street in my area - the road surfaces here suck. That's some nice empty highway!
I'm sure the Ducati would pull away with those mods you described. Yeah this particular highway is super smooth and usually has light to no traffic. Once you get all your mods done we can test it out for you lol.
The v4S isn't even broken in yet, wonder what a full Akrapovic setup would do for it, don't think you can buy the Akra for it yet without getting the $40k SPECIALE. R1M sounds wicked above 10k. Kawi is pretty impressive given it's like $6k and $10k less then the other two.
J Nel Yeah the exhaust for the V4 is crazy expensive, and those ZX10s are the ultimate go fast bike for way less cash as you mentioned. A great buy without a doubt, and usually beat most of the competition when setup right.
Just fyi u put akro 230 on dino .no matter what u do zx 10 r not hp not torque wise with proper rider v4 will destroy all Japanese, German bike one exception h2 close race vs v4
Yeah true. V4 engines can be timed differently as to firing frequencies. I prefer the sound of a Vmax or RSV4 for the same reason I like crossplane V8 sounds. Yamaha i-4 crossplane is similar to Aprilia in sound. I like the bassy booming sounds of 90° Vtwins or 270° parallel twins. But I go through stages of what I like and don't like. Triples are my preference in even firing engines.
were you holding back because of low milage? In different tests on circuits, comparing R1M and ZX10R with V4S, the Duc ws the quickest. In an Italian tracktest comparison, with all the latest liter bikes incl. Aprillia and Honda, they concluded the 2018 R1M is the best trackbike (on that track). Ducati V4S the fastest in a straight line.
bob solbrig No, I wasn’t holding back at all. The R1 usually always do good at the track, especially the R1M with its suspension setup. I’ve raced my bike since I got it off the showroom floor lol.
The BMW is quickly getting outclassed by Japanese machines. It was important to jump start the market when it's 193 hp was announced in 2009. It's now just one of group today. ZX-10R, GSX-R1000, and R1/M can make the same power with proper tunes and often more torque where the short stroke Beemer lacks it.
The Superbikes bikes are so close these days, it really comes down to whichever you prefer. I had the R1M, ill be on a Rsv4 rf this season. It's about lap times for me though, but its nice to see how the bikes compare full bore.
Trackappeal Yep thats what I always say, it just comes down to which one you think looks the best. I personally haven’t been to the track, but I do plan on going this year.
Those bikes have only very basic mods. You wouldn’t expect them to get near and even beat the v4 in some cases. Disappointing! Having ridden the v4 I was a bit underwhelmed by it’s performance. I genuinely think the current s1000rr will outdrag it, however the v4 is much more than that. It’s a great chassis. Can’t deny I was a bit gutted about the bikes speed after all the hype. That was in race mode and I’ve had it pinned in all gears up to 4th FYI.
Stock for stock I don’t think a S1000RR will beat this V4 in straight line drag race in my opinion, but I could be wrong. We were actually suppose to have a S1000RR in the line up but he didn’t get his bike back in time for the race. Would make for an interesting race though.
Sometimes the math is deceptive. The bigger the HP numbers the greater the % losses have an effect. 220 hp multiplied by 88% (-12% loss) is 26.4 hp lost to the drivetrain. The more HP you make, the bigger the losses. Reminds me of the street racing with cars, making 1000 whp and 16% or worse drivetrain losses. That's about 190 hp lost to drivetrain. AWD cars only get worse at 18% average.
Steve B. CBR I hate to say it but it’s a lot easier riding high speed without the jacket. I don’t condone it but I am guilty of it. As you said, it is what it is.
Fork Boundaries exactly. I know the risk, I accept the risk. It's all good. I do enough track days to know how to handle myself in certain situations that are controllable. I practice enough and feel I have enough skill to do it.
There was no fair race at all. At the start of both races the V4S was slightly ahead of the R1M. And this gap lasted till end. Both remained equal to say. But I think R1M is the winner.
I have the new V4 with the (admittedly expensive) titanium exhaust upgrade and the "especial" Ducati factory tune making it 226HP. Just completed 600 mile service so its officially ready to be driven like i stole it!! Where are you guys located? I'm in Dallas. Oh and for the Italian haters....I've been riding for over 35 years. Owned them all. I believe Japanese bikes are amazing. All of them. The reason I purchased the Ducati is because I can at this point in my life. I not only purchased a motorcycle, I purchased art, recognition and increased the length of my.... ego. :-) (FYI an R1M supports a slightly lower cost of the new Panigale and if I recall correctly the Honda also bridged the $ gap) Where do you guys get your info? Go shopping! Stock V4 Ducati. $21k. After my ridiculous mods... $32K out the door. Ouch! But I now can boast to own one of the faster motorcycles in the world. Its a conversation starter. It turns heads. It make me feel great. Even girls comment on it. (They prob don't know why the allure. Perhaps it's the same feeling they get when the looks at the lipstick on a beautiful model.) AND I think I've grown an inch! Oh and did I happen to mention it is....wait for it.... it's fricking scary fast!!! Thanks everyone and be safe out there! No matter what you ride....
Lol, very entertaining post. Are you on Instagram or Facebook? I would love to see this V4 in person. If so send me a message to “outspokentiger” if not send me an email at contact@outspokentiger.com.
Just wait till Woolich or Bren comes out with a Stage1 flash... the V4 will be absolutely unstoppable with mods against it's competitors (currently). It's kind of a cheat bike but... I gotta give it to Duc for making an ultra lightweight naturally aspirated bike that puts out 215whp from the factory that breaks 13500rpms. That bitch is going to break 240 all day without even touching the engine.
ducati is shit and everyone knows it.get a Yamaha ,cheaper , much more reliable and just as fast, if not faster in the trackor u can get a bimmer brand new thousand of dollars cheaper and is a tremendous bike
Patthon Sirilim no no no. 10R 220, V4 is in the 210 range, R1M is 215. At the crank. At the wheels R1M made 190 on a pretty decently average reading dyno. Not high or low.
