Joe, SWEET. I've always wanted a pintail. All the years hunting, the only time I've seen then is in spring on their northern journey. They do a cyclic migration, not a 'linear' up and back, following the same path. According to the biologists I spoke with at Medicine Lake, the birds I see are Pacific flyway when southbound, and return on the eastern edge of the Rocky Mtns. Which is neat cause you get to see them all spruced up in their breeding color (like a cinnamon teal, ever see one of those? I got a picture of one in February on the Bighorn River below the dam. Matagorda ain't far from me, we had an awesome season. Huge pintails, Gaddy's, greenheads, and some absolutely gorgeous redhead, canvasbacks, even a good looking scaup or 2.

The dogs in the north Atlantic were sent amongst ice flows to pick out fish that fell out of the nets. They were part of the family and pivotal to the life of the fishing Norseman (they have the coats and spotted tongues to prove their lineage). Your ignorant comment on gun selection, maintenance and breed physiology is common among the flock shooting sky busters on here (don't beat yourself up over a little posted stupidity) I can almost appreciate the ignorant almost comical anthropomorphism for labs as they do seem like your children when you get down to it. Actually, I may prefer them to certain obstinate teens (you remember the type, or maybe still are among them, but now you have a gun...). I won't even ask what you consider an "ice cycle" (icicle up north? or random accouterments to show virility amongst peers in the bind), although I'm sure you'll tell us (to garner further notoriety of wit and pulchritude) No need to "put YOU down", you do well all by yourself.

@@owenhall08 I figured as much! I only bought a duck stamp. It was like $17 on den reck but I’m not going to buy anything else until next season! Except duck calls, ammunition face paint waders all the accessories I need
