Ducky (AKA Baybell) is the only surviving baby of Beaker and Tinkerbell. She has had a rough journey, and we didn't think she was going to make it at first. But this little girl is headstrong and is now thriving! We love her to bits.
To think this goes on all around us every day but we are not privy to it! I look at every bird and all of creation with more respect since I’ve come to know Beaker, and Tinkerbell, and the lovely Duky aka BayBell❤️❤️Everyone have a blessed day🙋🏻♀️

Good for u 😊 also remember that each bird also experiences the same kind of egg-chick losses tons 😢 some also have infertility problems I once knew a budgie who was SO SO SO DEPERATE to become a mama ❤😢😢😢 She never had any eggs come to success, so she never had any baby budgies ever 😢😢 She got so DEPRESSED OMG, and full of emotion and pain and suffering, that she started stealing others’ eggs. Stealing their chicks, just so needing to fill that maternal urge so badly ❤😢😢😢😮😮😮 She even started attacking the other mamas in order to get a baby for herself. It destroyed me. I met her when I was a kid. They had to take her out of the aviary and house her in her own space by herself since she had become a danger. It’s still a devastating story to this day, for me ❤❤❤ just remember, birds and all God’s creations, all go thru the same joys & turmoils that we do. It’s both highs and sometimes terrible, crushing lows. I still think of that budgie and I wonder if she ever got her wish come true to become a mother 😢❤

Our 2 year old grandson has loved Beaker & Tinkerbell's story! Whenever he hears a bird cheeping he says "Birdie! Like Beaker & Tinkerbell" He has watched Ducky growing up & I can't wait to tell him her name so he can say that too! 🥰
I'd say it works for some amphibians too, adult frogs or salamanders can be cute (or at least be beautiful thanks to their colors). And eventually marsupials though one could question what counts as a baby in their case.
Haha, the ones that hatch😅 already covered with fluffy down (like ducks and chickens for example ) are cute fresh out of the egg. Parrots are reeeeally not so cute for a while 😂
She obviously trusts you so, so much. You can see it in how easily she takes up creative play and exploration. Really beautiful to see. Thank you for sharing this with us
Flipboard has been bringing me cute stories from ParadePets for years, but you know what, recently I watched two of the clips they were writing about - and it was Beaker and Tink! I feel very glad they are getting the global adoration they so rightly deserve. That little green charismatic bird and his family are bringing joy and smiles across the world.

Awww, unseen footage! I'm SO glad you named her something different from Baybell ❤! Something that sounds totally different, it's an additional, new name in the Beak Fam. Shes a unique bird, not an amalgamation of sounds Beaker happes to make. Beaker will learn a new word now! ❤❤
@@Panisgood it’s not their fault :) all inexperienced parent birds and parent anyone, try and fail and error and success in the early times of parenthood. In the bird world, several clutches can all fail (die) before any successful chick actually survives & lives into adulthood. So all those dead eggs which never fully developed, is super common & the birds don’t get the experience of trial and error of parenthood until one actually keeps surviving. Where breeders come in, much intervention is involved. I just saw what looked like a perfectly healthy fully developed bird embryo chick DIS (die in shell), it never hatched & somehow something went wrong.. but all outward appearances, the chick looks healthy. In the natural world, sadly bird babies just die all the time & it’s way more common, just like human babies used to die constantly.
@catsberry I raised chickens Just ordinary, but lovely chickens. But out of any ordinary clutch, there were sometimes an egg or two in which a fully developed and anxious to hatch out chick couldn’t finish the job of fully hatching out. That was always sad to me. It’s a tough job, hatching out all the way! It might take a full day, even more, to fully break their way free of that shell. Usually, those that are unable to finish before they’re just too worn out to carry on any longer, the hen has called it a day and begun ushering all her hungry babies off the nest in search of food. Occasionally, if I was lucky enough to find them quickly, I could bring them indoors ( in a warm pocket with my hand over them ) to allow them time needed to rest while keeping warm! One time I did that though, it took 3 more days! You can guess, I’m sure, how that turned out: a chick that thought I was mom and the real mom wasn’t interested in making sure it was learning how to search for food. ( She knew exactly how many chicks she had following her around, didn’t keep track of it at all.) I also fed them with chick feed but the one who’d been with me for 3 days before complete hatching was just on its own! Those were probably the most time-consuming, exhausting couple of months I’d ever spent in all the years I had spent caring for chickens! Lol My chick grew up to be a not-needed rooster. Of course! Lol But, he was pretty mellow 😉
I’ll try to copy over some of what they wrote on the other acct if I have ability later 😊 M said that they leg handed her cuz their state just needs birds born there to be banded. And based on all the love and care and extra affections, I do believe they are far too IN LOVE ❤ with Ducky to ever give her up 😊😊 plus Tinki reeeeeeallly wants babies she just wants so badly to be a mama ❤ it would go against everything documented if they gave her up. So, I feel pretty comfortable guessing that she’s here to stay with her fambly ❤🎉
@@catsberry4858 she is pretty! Since I don’t have a channel or anything I’d say if you really want to see a crimson bellied conure you could Google one? They’re all very similar in how they look (they don’t come in different colors like Tinkerbell and Beaker) ☺️☺️☺️ she’s much smaller then they are but very very sassy (she remembers every day that her ancestors were dinosaurs haha)
Beaker is the sweetest living thing on planet earth. Tinkerbell is a sweetheart aswell but I'm so impressed with Beakers personality everyone else is fighting for second place.
Yeah, I know the parents were trying to help Beaker for a while. Tink’s over-preening turned to plucking. So they had to work on making sure she didn’t do that anymore. Tinkerbell had no ill intent behind it though! She was just trying to be loving with him. (But yes, his feathers coming back is great. The parents did a good job helping him recover from the unintentional plucking)
@SweetieCutieLullaby I often wonder if the intent when a mate begins this behavior. 🤔 I had the same issue with a bonded pair and couldn't decide what was causing it. I once thought it was because the male was jealous as the female had other males interested in her. Beaker and Tinkerbell are the sweetest couple, and I love watching them
