About the damage cap - the game actively calculates DPS, and so you can actually avoid it. If you have a weapon that goes over the cap, fire until the game caps out the damage. Then just wait a few seconds until your DPS is calculated at 0 and you can do a ton of damage again.

okay, so duct tape doesn't keep a lot of synergies but anything relating to the projectile the gun fires is kept it seems. So it'd probably lose any "+50% damage" bonuses but if that also fires larger explosions or something then it keeps it.

Sure he could've used the jetpack, but what if he just removed the mutation instead? He also would've kept the immunity if he kept the mutation as the base gun, but decided to make the laser rifle the base gun, which removed the electricity immunity.

A fun run i do is I choose one type of gun and give myself only that gun instead of the guns in chests and duct tape them together. For example, having only shotguns and taping them all together.
