My favorite is To be a Lover. I love boxing ring, the piano player with cigar, and the ladies of the 8o"s breaking it down in the background. Billy also said he got to do some of his best Elvis in this video. The part where he is on the floor is hysterical. All you had to do was slide a girl underneath.

lol I remember seeing photos of Billy looking tough in a magazine. The toughness was somewhat lessened when it said the photo shoot was done in Spain when he was on holiday with his mum.

I was in the Air Force when Billy showed up. He was a little scary, but so HOT. In the barracks, you couldn’t really have nice stereos and speakers so I’d rock out with my “Walkman” style cassette player on full blast. Eyes Without A Face has that sexy vibe. MTV was big back then and for the most part only showed videos. That was our real connection to music. Billy Idol had the style, voice and look that was captivating. The Elvis lip curl didn’t hurt either. Lol It’s so great to see so many young people being exposed to music we loved when it was released. Because of reactors, many artist’s music is charting again. Thank you😉😉

Personally, I always thought this song and video were the weirdest thing. The song 'Don't You (Forget About Me)' from the movie The Breakfast Club was actually written for Billy. He passed on it, or wasn't available or something, so it ended up going to Simple Minds. It became their signature song, but they didn't even like it much--it wasn't their style. Later Billy recorded his own version of the song--check it out, it's a good one!

I think " Cradel Of Love" is my fav from Billy Idol!

"rock the cradle of love" which is decent rock with a sexy video, and "dancing with myself" which is at least good for a laugh. his biggest songs are the ones youve already done though, more great bands to get to than there is much left here.

I'll throw out an unpopular opinion here - Cyberpunk is my favourite Billy Idol album. Shock to the System or Adam in Chains from that album would be my suggestion. Album version is better than the video version for Adam in Chains, but the video is so odd it's worth seeing as well.

I first loved Billy Idol when he was the singer for the early U.K. punk band Generation X (late 1970s), and when he went mainstream as a solo, he was considered a sellout. Generations X had a song called "Promises, Promises" with these lyrics: "We'd never be scared; never be bought Never sell out like they did - they did" And that "sell out" line used to get thrown in his face a lot when he went pop and "sold out". You should check out Gen X songs: "Kiss Me Deadly", "Ready, Steady, Go", "One Hundred Punks", "Promises, Promises" , "From the Heart" and others … Their self-titled album is still one of my favorites (which I have on vinyl from back in the day).
