i faced a falinks deck on saturday at the local card shop tournament. this chick in her first hand had set her win up. 4 falinks v on the bench and a basic falinks for attack. since i couldnt do any damage to her she just walked all over me before i could get anything set up

Im still pretty new to getting back into the TCG, but curious why you dont use normla Falinx too. It can call for family out a bunch of V for the reduction, then DCE for 150 with its attack. Also, since you've built both now, is there a way to run both Falinx and Coalossal in the same deck? I'd love to use them both

A ton of energy + Bea just sets up the 210 attack faster. It's the trade off of speed vs consistently getting your Falinks out of the deck using normal Falinks. I prefer using my first attack to swing for 210, possibly donking the opponent over Call for Family.

This deck is really fun to play with. I try using one less Jirachi and one less Dedenne due to budget constraints, but I use two Bird Keeper's, one Ordinary Rod and a few other changes, but it is 90% the same deck and it won me a few games against ADPZ.

Love the content. I'll say it's like "FAY-links" because it's a reference to the military formation phalanx which the spartans used. They're little spartans. Not a stickler for pokemon pronunciation but this one has a legit reason.

Since I don't own an Amazing Rare Jirachi yet, I've been using 2 Audino UNM 177 with the Hearing ability (Draw a card) from the Unified Minds Laser Focus Theme Deck.

I'm fairly new to the game and I'm still learning and trying to figure out and understand the strategies. What is the reason behind him saying he'd prefer Escape Rope over the other gusting cards currently in standard? Trying to understand why it would be better in this context.

Escape rope would just be a very good switch card for this deck to have access too, basically as an additional out to switch your pokemon, not necessarily as a gust.

I changed the list to add mewtwo and a zigzagoon, and 1 more stadium, I don't like having to hope I find the stadium to ko zacian, and with the zigzagoon you can ko zezamenta if you got stadium out too, if you can't find bea but you already played one, mewtwo a bea to the top of the deck is pretty good

I think Iron Defense Formation negates 20 damage from any Falinks card. I dont think its a multiple of 20 for each Falinks card in play.

Falinks needs so little with bae that you have basically 1/3rd the deck for just deck thinning cards and 1/3rd for just energies

Hey trickygym I'm surprised you havent done the Bea combo with marshadow gx a figting type similar to mew3. Which can copy any basic pokemon moves as long as it's in the discard pile including most V, GX, and tagteams Bea puts them in the discard to use. And gives you free energy

It only has 1 retreat cost. So uturn board makes it a falinks combo swap to keep using giga impact

U can also use the Prism Star Diance as a bench card for increasing damage for ground and fighting types.

Yes, it’s because it left the active. All attacks that have that effect are reset if they leave the active (such as Zacian V). Abilities however do not unless they are completely leave the board (jirachi)

@@kenkennedy2389 it's your supporter for the turn so it's not as good as Escape Rope, but in some decks which require lot of switching it can definitely be a solid inclusion

The draw three cards can also be a saving grace, its like switch and hau/hop in one. Bird keeper isn't that bad, and I feel like bird keeper just outclasses switch in more situations, even if it does take your supporter.

Got a quick question for anyone who know the game. Why do you run switch over bird keeper? To me it seem like the better card since you get to draw 3 card and switch instead of just switching.

Cause bird keeper is a supporter card. Of course its better cause it let's u draw three, but for situations where u need to switch your active and play boss to maybe gust up a dedenne, you can't play two supporters in one turn.

Not that it matters since you don't play any. But the damage reduction comes from baby falinks too 😊

Baby doesn't add to the reduction but receives it. Its team attack x30 for each falinks though. 😀

All decks that can win a game are now "BUSTED" or "BROKEN" lolol. Everyone is overusing it. I wonder who originally made it a thing? ANYWAY I put together one of these at the beginning of vivid voltage when I had a shit load of Bea cuz they wouldn't sell. Fun list! Now I know why all of my trades including these cards went from not selling for weeks to selling out in a day last week lol

A question to the native speakers: how comes that Bea is pronounced "bee"? I mean, that's how you would read the word, but since it is a short for Beatrice, shouldn't it be "be-a" (or even "bé-a" with the French pronunciation)?

Because English is a terrible amalgamation of other languages where rules can and will interfere with each other so sometimes pronunciation is dependent on the region someone grew up in because there's no hard and fast rule to pronounce everything correctly.
