This clip appears to be taken from the original DVD release which had an issue with this episode and was missing some sound effects. Note that when KITT powers up and shifts into gear, there are no sounds at all, and when he begins driving, the car is completely silent for a period of time. I had that original DVD set and Universal even offered a free replacement disc by mail that corrected the problem. I wonder why the official Knight Rider channel would be using that particular version of the episode.
