Great video. While I'm not flying that calibre of wing the review was still useful as you talked through what gives wings their characteristics. Zesty flying. Keep sharing.
I like the side by side comparison you did! Very informative and after seeing this I realize this would not be the best fit wing for me but in the future it could be. Thanks.
Yeah me to. You know what I noticed is when kiting if one side collapsed, it didnt create a ton of drag and pull the wing to the collapsed side. Half the wing could collapse and the other half would just continue to kite in the wind without moving. I think the smaller leading edge is creating less drag in a collapse and in flight obviously. As for disadvantages im not sure
@@MitchG To me this is what the Hadron XX should have been, a high performance profile with 2d steering and the PK systems. I can't wait to test fly one ;-)
wow great video! I have been searching for my next wing and this is one I definitely want to demo! I really like how you changed the break line attachment points on the toggle. That is a set up I think I would really like.
Was there a special way you tied your steering lines to your toggle since there is no actual loop to hold each line in place on the toggle? Or did you just tie them like normal and made sure they are tight?
I see him aggressively getting on and off the bar to climb over hummocks, or the turn drop without enough power to overcome the wing angle from vertical. If he had more power like say a tornado he could hold tighter turns but this wing really goes.
Your reviews rock! ! Best on the net! Hope you review the 16m Freeride as a comparison to a very popular wing!! Maybe Tucker will swing by on his Southwest tour!
Nice Video!! When do you started with flying. It looks so good and finaly i dont found a video on your channel that is older than a year. Do you really fly just a year? How fast is the wing at full speedbar? I saw 57 mph, thats freaking fast ! Sorry for my english I‘m from Austria Best regards Michael
Hello! I've been flying paramotors almost 2 years now but I have been flying some type of aircraft my whole life. I had a little tail wind during that test but the wing will fly about 50mph full speed. 113kg on a 16m
Mitch G Wow thats really impressiv. I fly for also 2 years (2 years paragliding and a 1/2 year Ppg) now and my flyingskills are not that good to fly a hadron or a warp or a snake🤔🤔🤔 I don’t trying it till now, but I’m sure it will kill me now😅😅.
Hi Mitch ,so would you say that the wharp is the fastest wing? for PPG ? iam flying Macpara pitbull ex race and its fast but you allways want more:-) nice video ! dream BIG tv
Dudek sure doesn't skimp on accessories! Sorry I haven't watched earlier, one of our cats unexpectedly got very sick. She was only 8. Heart problems, we lost her tonight. So, do these motor wings have better UV resistance than PG wings? Cause if not, you need a new one every year!
Sorry to hear about your cat. Why would I need a new one every year? Cause I fly so much? lol. Its the same fabric as freeflight wings but ppg guys tend to fly morning or evening so the sunlight is not as direct and strong as mid day pg flying. I havent been able to keep a wing longer than a few months cause Im always wanting to try the next one lol. Maybe now with the warp ill just have to keep buying a new warp every year.
Hi Mitch, what motor are you using to push the Warp? I bought a new Hadron xx 18 in July and I really love the wing. Unfortunately my 4 stroke motor is not enough to fly level once I push bar out. I am at 75% of the weight range all up. I usually land and take off with 3/4 flaps so I have some energy in the wing. There are no flaps and tip steer like the Hadron I take it? I would be interested in hearing what it's like to land compared to the Hadron xx 18. What weight range are you on the Warp? Thanks Jay
I have a vittorazi 185 and can fly level full speed. No flaps like the hadron. On the warp with trims in it lands like the hadron with flaps about halfway or 3/4 of the way engaged. The 2d steering on the warp is kinda like the tip steering on hadron so when you are full speed you can use the tip line on the 2d steering. The warp16 is faster take off and landing than the hadronxx18. I think a 17m warp would be about the same as a hadronxx 18 and an 18m warp would take off and land slower than 18m hadronxx. I launch around 113kg all up on the 16m warp
@@MitchG thanks for the opinion, I may decide to go for the Warp in the future but I will get more accustomed to the Hadron first. Some of my flying buddies are flying Hadron xx too but are around 3 year's older. There is such a noticeable difference in the speed of my new Hadron xx compared to theirs. There are some physical differences between the wings, such as rods in the trailing edge. I still love my 18 though. When you are using your PA system, I take it, when you turn and let off the bar you use more of the tip steer in the 2D steering? Great video also, really good to watch.
@@66jayfly Yeah when im accelerated I only pull the tip line on the 2d steering, once I pull the bar back in ill use the main brakes to turn even harder if desired. I flew my 18m hadronxx a ton and loved it. I only switched to the snakexx because of the power attack system in the snake gave me a greater speed range in the speed bar. I also tried the Power attack on the hadron but the snake and warp still have more speed range with the power attack.
UPDATE: I got some almost calm air to do some speed testing. I did upwind and down wind. Average numbers came out like this. 26 mph trims in. Trims full released 43mph. Trims released and speed bar 50 mph. 24 mph increase in speed! I did not have a full tank so subtracting the weight of the fuel, my all up weight was around 106kg. Also take into account that my altitude was around 4100ft MSL. Dudek Warp 16m. If I had a full tank of gas I might have been able to get a mph or 2 more of speed
