A pair of porch pirates were caught on video racing and scuffling to steal a package moments after it was delivered to a Pennsylvania home. Full story: abc7.com/post/dueling-porch-p...
@@MaurytheHedgehogDogIt's the US's fault because the US citizens keep voting in leaders that are in favour of uncontrolled illegal immigration and open borders and multiculturalism. It's too late now, too much damage has been done.
Slackers sucking the teats of taxpayers. Nothing new here. Stop the free money. No job, no help. Required to PROVE you can’t work, if so. No more incentives for children born out of wedlock. That’s crazy in and of itself. Use common sense for these ‘entitlement’ programs. SS, IRS, SS Disability… all need MAJOR fixes and are being scammed into bankruptcy even after KNOWING the problem for YEARS, now. I mean, WTF??! The taxpayer is the victim in ALL of these programs.
I don’t blame him…his day is hard enough without risking his life over a package, still, if I lived in this area I might think of keeping a rifle by the door.
The problem is they cut the video too quickly to truly know what the driver's actions were. I'm not expecting him to run and join the melee or anything. But I would assume he called the police or something.
You'd think that for a high value package like that, you would have to sign for it. Just leave it on the porch for two absolute losers to swashbuckle over
when I worked the courier business 15 years ago, we got signatures for everthing. nothing was left at doorstep, unless customer specifically called us and requested it, with a safe drop location identified. these days, they may as well throw your shipment straight in the trash.
I was a Fed Ex driver. These folks would just follow the truck until it stopped. I never had anything happen to me but I knew folks that had this happen to them.
@@joevarga5982 The homeowners were right inside the house. They didn't even have a chance to come to the door to get the package. Those guys were out of their cars and racing to grab it before the FedEx guy even got to his truck.
@@joevarga5982nothing stupid about it. It’s a problem for neighborhoods and communities who have this problem. Its normal for packages to NOT be stolen in most other areas. The owner isn’t stupid. These low lifes are..
They work at the warehouse as temps and they know valuables because it usually says fragile or has battery warning stickers they also knew when to be at the house because if you can read a FedEx express label it's literally like 16 hour shipping if local
@@jackgraves5121 They knew it was a phone of high value or they wouldn't have just rushed like that. Someone at ATT has shipping details and is selling them online pretty common on the dark web.
Kay you ever been on a truck? Your fedex driver is getting paid 150 bucks a day, and loads AND unloads his own truck every single day. Delivery driver does more work than most tradesmen. Especially fedex or ups.
@@SI0AX you’re right, it’s not required usually. But there used to be a time when people would go above and beyond because they cared about the customer.
Ding....ding....ding. They likely didn't follow the truck but seen it parked. Porch pirates roam the neighborhoods looking for packages or the delivery trucks. People that thought this is staged or FedEx tipped the thieves off are stupid for thinking so.
Sorry Sherlock, they were curious about how they knew the package would be a cell phone... not that there was a package... please come back to us when you have that answer :)
Fed Ex driver just kept walking. He delivered the product. He got the photo proof that he delivered the product. He had other product to deliver, so the hoodlums fighting to see who gets to be the thief was not his concern. Fact is we are going to need to install package drop slots in our brave new world of 1 day delivery and multiple package thieves following every delivery truck.
What you expect him to do, take out 2 guys single handed? Anyone with a sane mind wouldn’t take the gamble that your employers or the homeowners would care if you got hurt from trying to intervene
I'm guessing they just pick a delivery truck like Amazon, FedEx, USPS, or UPS and following behind them on their delivery routes. I mean their trucks are easy enough to spot.
@@Mike_Davidsonso you believe they risk their freedom over what's potentially a cheap 2$ toy? The question is how do they seem to know which places are receiving high priced phones and iPads and other electronics, smh use your brain
Delivery guy doesn’t even attempt to hand the package to anyone home. Doesn’t knock or ring the doorbell, just walks up, puts the package down, snaps a picture and walks off like “yep, I did my job of delivering that package”. This is how 90% of my deliveries from Amazon go. Shout out to all the delivery people that actually hand the package to someone in the home or at least attempt to. You people are great.
It would take them 4 times longer to wait for people answering the door on each delivery. If you wanna pay more for certified delivery then that's on you.
Not even the issue. Its not like the door bell doesn't notify if there is motion. Or the company sends a email of delivery once the pad he has is used to complete the order.... Not like we don't have systems outside of the all mighty door bell..
@@spicyapplesauce1868 Doesn't matter. Terrible work, I get why everyone local HATES ordering from FedEx and will go out of their way to make sure they don't deliver, always pick someone else.
@shaneb3073 -- of all the packages I get from various carriers, they almost never ring the doorbell. I had an Amazon package expected tomorrow that was delivered today and the only way I found out was because I randomly checked my account for the delivery status and it said it was delivered so I checked my door... I was home all day so I know they didn't ring the bell, and I don't even expect them to at this point because as I mentioned, it's been so rare that they do 🤷♀️ I just assume they don't do it because they don't want to disrupt the homeowners (who may be getting numerous packages delivered per day, from different carriers); and with technology, customers usually get a email or text notification as soon as a package is delivered.
Every time I upgrade from ATT they send the phone home like this through Fedex and no out of the last 3 cycle upgrades in my household, not one phone had to be signed.
The other week I swear the Amazon driver had come back to my house an hour later hoping I hadn't picked up the phone I ordered off the porch. They're going to have to start delivering at exact times so people don't get their things stolen.
Seen vids of delivery people stealing the package they just took a photo of, as proof of delivery. One even took the security camera, without realizing there was a 2nd camera recording.😱
@@I_like_aliens_from_mars you have no idea whats in the boxes. doesnt even tell you if its insured or not. only thing it might say is do not deliver if damaged.
You said he let them steal it as if he said here you go guys come and get it 😂. What do you think we're going to do in that moment? Join the fight for the package? It's unfortunate but once I put it down and walk off it is what it is. I'll at least report it though 😂
@@TheStranger513as a fedex employee you swore an oath to support and defend the packages of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that you will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that you take this obligation freely; without any MENTAL RESERVATION OR PURPOSE OF EVASION; and that you will discharge the package of the customer whos property you are about to enter. So help you God. Get your shit together fedex cmon.
People say the porch pirates are tipped off or this is fake. Yes the porch pirates are tipped off. By seeing a delivery truck they know something is being delivered. It's not rocket science...Americans.
This isn't about politics, in this country, theft, gambling and drugs are the prime sources of income, that definitely includes Corporate (where it starts) you don't think CEOs put their "orders" in for the overpriced crap they advertise? They know it's garbage, but greed is a hard habit to break.
0:38 "How the suspects found out it was going to be delivered.....", most likely they were just following behind the FedEx guy's delivery route. Whether or not they knew a phone was in there is a guess.
They were following the package delivery guy--and probably a few of them were doing so. FedEx/UPS should have cameras attached in different directions to help prevent such crimes.
People like you are so unintelligent that you think that it's on FedEx to have you sign for a package. It's whoever is shipping their product that has you sign for the package. It's not on FedEx. If the company shipping the phone does not have signature confirmation then they're not going to have signature confirmation. Fed ex doesn't magically give signature confirmation. People pay for that option. Were you born yesterday?
Nothing “safely and securely” about leaving a package out in the open when you know there are porch pirates waiting to compete for it, FedEx. Do better.
Or robbed himself. These guys had no problem committing assault or theft… abduction and impeeding with theft and violence probably would have been a felony tho.
So FedEx says their top priority is to make sure they watch the porch pirates make a mad dash towards the package while they stroll back to their ride.
Well all the useless delivery person had to do was ring the bell and give them the package since they were home. He should be paying for the any loses.
If delivery drivers were at fault every time someone stole your package you would be picking up all of your packages from their source every time you bought something. There would be zero delivery drivers. Do you even know what two plus two is without using a calculator?
I've been saying something similar for years now. First offense, lose a hand, second offense lose the other hand. Third offense...well there won't be one.
Absolutely pathetic. Also, I've repeatedly left a sign on my front door that says "Please leave package in backyard" and it's literally 35 feet away and these Fedex and UPS drivers won't even take the time to do it. Part of the problem is they leave packages right where anybody can see them.
Delivery truck like fedex, ups, usps, can be easily follow. Delivery should be done a bit more conscious, like next/front door. Another stupid thing from FEDEX, they take photo of just the item dropped off on the ground (should be more with the home address delivered), so what if delivery wrong address. Happened to me, once, I called in, and fuckers wanted me to walk around the neighbors to see if I can recognize someone's door, if not to file a claim.
Fedex is full of employees that give the heads up on potential expensive items, they let their stay at home boyfriend know what to grab. Amazon is getting get that way with the people that drive their own cars.
How'd they find out? I don't believe they knew what was inside the box but it's obvious that a van with FedEx on the side isn't delivering the local paper.
So the driver sees the 2 people waiting, drops off the package and doesn't bat an eye when they come to steal it let alone start swinging weapons? There's so much wrong here.
What do you expect him to do? Fight off people who he doesn't know if they have weapons or not? His life is far more valuable than a package! That phone can be easily replaced.
And risk getting killed over a package that isn't even his?!?! Smart guy to stay out of it, especially in today's crazy world. He delivered it as he was supposed to -- he definitely should not have put his life in danger to do anything else.
@@billyboyd418 It takes five seconds to ring the doorbell or not abandon the package. What do you think his supervisor and the company has to say about how this makes them look to the public?
Let's see the entire footage, NOT this edited version. I see so many things worth commenting on this blatant thievery. [1] Why did the FedEx driver stop in the middle of the street, instead of parking at the curb? [2] Porch Pirate # 1 (Silver car) appears to be already parked at the curb and waiting for the delivery. [3] Porch Pirate # 2 (White car) also stopped in the middle of the street and appears to have just arrived. [4] Neither of these thieves didn't bother to wait for the FedEx driver to leave, before they pounced. [5] It's the front passenger door of both Pirate vehicles that the thieves emerged from. So, there were getaway drivers, therefore, at least four (4) jerks should be arrested. [6] Porch Pirate # 2 left his fingerprints on the flower pot. [7] Did the FedEx truck have a 'dash cam'? (Or, did the driver write down or record info?) (If so, it should've captured the license plate #, vehicle descriptions, and maybe the drivers' face.) [8] Originally, I thought the Porch Pirates were simply following the FedEx truck, but not when their vehicles are facing the truck. [9] So, it seems these thieves had 'inside info' and knew when and what was being delivered. (A 'high-value black-market item' worth the risk of being seen and competing to steal.)
That would explain why he kept the pot. Doesn't want his fingerprints at the scene of the crime. I was perplexed until you mentioned that. Also, he grabbed some flowers. Must have a SO or child he's planning to give them to. I had a friend who people would literally steal flowers from her front lawn; she'd watch from her cameras as they'd take them without asking her permission.
You're such an Einstein that you didn't even think of the possibility that they were parked on the curb and the FedEx van was driving around and turned around in a cul-de-sac and was coming out of the cul-de-sac while they were watching. But no that's too crazy right? Everyday real life stuff is just too crazy. That has to be your nine commandments and it is a setup and everybody is in on it. You're completely correct. And by the way the FedEx driver is literally parked less than a foot off of the curb. Not in the middle of the street. You really need to get your eyes checked
It was the phone so they hit a payday. A knock on the door might have helped but probably not. What a bunch of losers following the FedEx truck rather than get a job
I find it hilarious that you guys blame everything on a decrepit old man that can barely even keep his eyes open, but you think he’s running the country 😂😂😂
This seems faked or rigged somehow. No ring or knock on doorbell, no signature required, fedex driver walked away and seemed un-phased by people running up on the package he just walked away from, and 2 people on cue sprinting up and fight like little school kids over a sealed box which it’s contents inside are not 100% known…
I thought the same thing. Wonder if these are the same "actors" hired during protests and mass freemasonic shootings. Could be real though. I'ts good to question everything nowdays. That knife swing and dude who grabbed the flower pot were both on point with their reflexes.
And thus was born the Porch Pirate Olympics. Topped off with the classic corporate response to anything bad that they are involved in, "_______ is our top priority." What a time we're having.
It's only going to get worse. 🥺 The Bible says the end of Time will be so bad that people will sigh and moan from all the suffering. We all need to get right with God so we could get into Heaven. Otherwise, buckle your seatbelt... 🥺
You see this now, this is just a starting point. I feel it will get worse if Delivery companies don't do anything to keep drivers safe as they're delivering packages... Be prepared to hear more stories about delivery guys getting robbed at gun point
@@Joseph-kq9zc The people were home 🤦♂. I work for a living, I get them delivered to my work, or a parents house, or a collection point. I don't remember the last time I had a parcel left on my front porch.
So something that expensive you don’t need to sign for? You don’t even have to knock to get the attention of the homeowner if they’re there? Something’s fishy.
