*So everyone, what was your very first Yu-Gi-Oh Structure Deck?* 👀 Dragon's Roar vs Zombie Madness (2005) - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QjpJsA4TmSs.html
I really like how the older structure decks looked and felt, it reminded me of the Pokémon “theme decks” I believe they were called. But that’s when I was a wee lad, I’m into the big boy stuff now.
There's a definite charm to the old decks. Though, I'm not sure how much of it is genuine, and how much of it is nostalgia. Though, they definitely look better than the old Pokemon decks from when I was a kid. xD They look like kids designed them.
This was a good video. However I did notice a misplay by Paul. Neo-Deadulus can”t be normal summoned, or special summoned as per its card text. As you would need to summon it by tributing Deadulus. Just wanted to put that out there. Keep the great work guys.
i love how you do these. like we all dream of playing yugioh like in the anime wich is still a dream, but this, all this is so fun, the card close ups, the deck breakdown, the camera views. this is so good!
Aside from the GBA/DS games where you have the option of selecting one of these decks, I have never seen 'em. I think Zombie Madness is the only one I have ever heard of.
Just discovered you guys. Havent played Yugioh for probably close to 20 years but you guys are super entertaining. Legit content keep it up. I love that sometimes you guys edit a closeup of cards on screen so we can see them when played if we arent familiar.
Before I watched other people making the same type of video about these two decks, I was one of those who expected Water to win. And not because it was simply "Water against Fire", but because, in a vaccum, the Water deck has a much better strategy than the Fire deck to go against other decks in general. After watching others though, I knew Water would lose. They all start and end the same way: Part 1 (Deck Analisys) - "Wow, the water deck is so much better than the Fire deck" Part 2 (Matches) - "Welp... we didn't expect the Water deck to lose..." Ironically, the Water deck just happens to have a bad matchup against the Fire deck in particular, whereas most other decks have no problem against it. Water's lockdown strategy doesn't do much against the Fire's Burn strategy which doesn't rely much on attacking.
I really really like the way Alec duels. With this cool 1Liners Paul : With Tornado Wall , I will not take any damage Alec : so u will ! Because Just tornado
Although I didn't play yugioh at the time, a few of the games from the gx games around 2005-2008 would allow the player to purchase them for the cards inside. It was fun 🤣
Yeah just wow!!! if he never pulled that burn card from the deck using the Jar of Greed, he would've lost.... Man YUGIOH is just the greatest lol. Great game guys!!
Fun fact, back in the old days only one player at a time could control a field spell so all you needed to do to destroy the other dude's was to play your own.
I forgot older structure decks have triplets in them. Love to see the time when konami didn't expect you to buy 3 copies of the same deck lol. I had the fire deck and my brother had the water I'm excited to see how this turns out cuz I don't remember which was better. Havnt watched the duel yet by my bets on water. The fire decks boss monster kinda sucks
I think there is a misplay. You cannot normal summon/set Ocean Dragon Lord Neo-Daedalus. You must special summon it by tributing Levia Dragon Daedalus.
Man, Star Boy got screwed. If only it was 50 Attack higher, it would have suicided with Little Chimera instead of dying to it thanks to both of their effects.
Paul had tribe Infectjng virus in his hand while he was getting burned in the last duel but didn't play it? he could have removed the two serpents that were burning him. Why does Paul make these weird or bad moves? I noticed he made weird moves in the first structure deck duel as well.
I live these videos. But I haye how you put your thumbs on the foil. Even if you won't sell them it's like people who put their disks shiny side down on the floor or a table. Huge pet peeve.
@@shintori2808 oh yeah thanks speaking of the water deck I used to think it was op cause of the card infected virus tribe and the two sea serphant monsters
For anyone thinking Paul couldn't tribute summon Neo Daedalus, the og print didn't mention not being able to normal summon it, and the video was prefaced saying they'll use what's written on the cards.
Even when the card was printed, it wasn't legal to be summoned normally. You had to fulfill its summon requirement. No clue why Paul/Team APS went the route they did. It buffs that card by a LOT, and the water deck already has the advantage.
That's fair, but it does make me wish that when they flashed the cards on the screen that they would have used the images of the version they used rather than a printing that is functionally different from how they use it.
Right? Jar of Greed saved the day cuz if Alex didn't use that, Paul would have been able to swing for the last hit with Ocean Dragon Lord before he drew it.
The yugioh I enjoyed. I played rec tournaments alot growing up and stopped around 2012 when crazy chain decks and synchros started to take over the game. I miss it tbh
