my money is on machine revolt but i may be a bit bias as i did own that deck and its what started me down the ancient gear path

Structure deck tournament?

Totally agree, the archetypes ruined the game. Leaves no room for player's to make their own decks

@@williamzhang153 your flat out wrong archetypes make the game better for everyone it's so much easier to build a deck if everything has a similar name and theme without archetypes the game would still fall into complex combos and loops etc archetypes are a solution a time saver look at this card it's name is orcust symbol skeleton oh and another card has orcusr in its name you can tell from that they have similar themes and it's just easier to build a deck

@@eleanordawes8634 Flat-out wrong?? Your whole argument is that archetypes makes things easier to build. That's not a positive, that's just you being lazy that you're not willing/can't be bothered to come up with something on your own. Also complex combo's? They exist regardless, archetypes just serve them to you on a platter, rather than let the hivemind of the yugioh community figure it out. The end result is the same. I can see you're a big fan of net-decking and you clearly hate the deck-building aspect of a card game, but I need you to understand that your unwillingness in spending any time in deck building barely functions as an argument.

@@williamzhang153 I think that archetypes don't just make deck building easier it also allows better card design because you can theme everything I'm sorry but archetypes are just more fun there are over 10000 cards in yugioh having no archetypes would mean looking through all of them to find any good cards you need archetypes to solve this 10000 card problem also old yugioh was boring without archetypes and it's fun now so archetypes good simple enough for you

@@eleanordawes8634 Again.. easier =/= good for the game. Fun and boring are purely subjective terms and barely function as arguments. The idea of archetypes is fine, but in a 40 card deck, where 20~30 is filled with archetype cards and the other 10~15 are staples, there is 0 room for any form of deckbuilding. You might as well sell complete decks, since that's going to be the end result. Also, you don't seem to be that familiar with card games, but you can narrow search results based on card effects. Since you're such a fan of archetypes, I'm going to assume you just pick the most played archetype and copy its decklist. I'm also going to assume that you will pick another archetype if you don't like the deck, instead of swapping out cards like any card game player would do (you know, since you can't be bothered with looking up cards). In the end, it's fine if you yourself enjoy easy ready-to-play decks, but that sentiment doesn't equate to a good/healthy meta of a card game.

The ultimate combo was Cannon Soldier+Ultimate Offering (both conveniently in the Ancient Gear deck) and Black Ptera (on the Dinosaur deck). The next generation of Magical Scientist OTK.

The silly thing is as the Dinos didn't summon the next turn the result would of still been the same(just no gear soldier) so yes illegal play but simple mistake with no real change to the duel.......also Yay Ancient Gears/am a fan boy of them and you can kinda see a evolution of them from the Single gear to a full golem in some art work and I love the fan theropy that "DaVinci" made them

I wish it did that. It’d be SO much better in today’s game. A special summonable level 2 without a hard once per turn restriction? Easy rank 2 plays, easy link summon fodder, and even potential synchro plays if there are any good tuners for the deck. Not to mention tribute fodder if you’re desperate to get ancient gear reactor dragon on the field. It kinda stings that they haven’t given Ancient Gear an errata. Could’ve been one step closer to seeing Ancient Gear decks going competitive.

They do a lot of subtle things that really add to the production quality. Really good stuff.

Yep, I respect that comment. As a former owner of a Dino structure deck, the true OG boss was always Tyranno Infinity. That is why I always rocked 2.😂😎

Ayy more Dino users!?! I don’t use it all the time but dinos have always been a personal fav but they should definitely get a stronger upgrade to stand a chance against other decks

@@dasgstehtfurgeil3288 Not only that. I remember as a kid thinking the deck was insane with Ultimate Tyranno being 3000 ATK and Black Tyranno at 2600. That to me was basically 3 different boss monsters back in the day.

I'm thinking of starting playing this game again after 14 years. My local shop usually runs out of some starter deck pretty fast but they have this one in stock. I would preferably want the blue eyes white dragon, or this machine deck but dini deck could be also good.Should i start again with dinos now? What are your tips about my situation?

@@ta3105 My mom did....I remember my mom throwing some of my cards and other toys into the trash and giving other away to the children of her friends from our neighborhood.....She was like "you're too old to be playing with this, I'll just give it away"....She was and still is a great mom but she didn't have to do that :/

I think ancient gear soldier has the effect of "if this attacks opponent can't activate spell/trap cards untill the end of damage step" like most ancient gears, so if Alec attacked with that first it would be 1300>1000 which would destroy tyranno infinity, and even if Paul healed and survived he would have empty board and dead bossmon.
