Connie Martin 70s and 80s had good music,,,,lyrics are understandable and had a meaning,,ofc Passion,,,,what happened?....now all they want is a big paycheck and to have everything catered to them...,as they call themselves 'Divas',,,,,in my day a diva was considered a singer with respect,,,and sang anywhere anyplace,,,etc..,.not these babies that call themselves divas today,,,,and a Diva was a singer from the opra days,,,,oh well,,,thank God for recordings you can playback.....
Back when great theme songs were still being written for TV shows. It's really a terrific well-written song with a catchy melody line. Couple that with 2 great singers who had hits on various charts and - wham! very cool to see this footage show up on RU-vid!
ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SONGS THAT I HAVE EVER HEARD BY THESE TWO LEGENDS:):) ALL I CAN SAY IT WAS VERY POWERFUL AND TOUCHING AND IT GAVE ME TONS OF GOOSE BUMPS:):)
Went to # 51 (Billboard Country Charts) in May of 1988. Also Louise Mandrell's remakes of Eric Carmen "Maybe My Baby" went to # 8 in May of 1985 & "I Wanna Hear It From Your Lips" went to # 35 in August of 1986. Also Eric Carmen's version of "I Wanna Hear It From Your Lips" also hit # 35 (Hot 100) BUT to # 10 on Billboard Adult Contemporary Charts in March of 1985.
Krypton Feel like Im living in the past still listing to songs from 70s concerts 35 years ago. Those 70s concerts were crazy because of very little Security. Really was nuts people throwing beer bottals on stage. 1 show we had to wait 2 hours some band wanted to play when it got dark outside. It was cool 70s Girls having the hots for Long Hair Rock Stars. Saw Rolling Stones 3 times, Doobie Brothers, Alice Cooper, Bob Seger, Aerosmith.
"Hey wait, the singer's missing her other sleeve!" In all seriousness, a great version. Reminds me of the "Another World" theme with Gary Morris and Crystal Gayle, which came out in '86-87.
