I do feel that way now I'm 30. But then again, shouldn't Duff Gardens be aimed at adults? Why on earth are kids as young as Bart and Lisa even be permitted in?

Man I forgot how great the Simpsons used to be. The characters were fantastic and, despite being over-the-top, were three dimensional and intimately relatable. Now they're just caricatures of themselves. There's no soul to it despite the mediocre writers going out of their way to try to say something profound about modern issues. Back then the Simpsons perfectly captures the times because it simply reflected American society without judging it. It mocked both right and left in equal measure. Man, I miss the 90's...
It should had ended in 2001! this show is such a 90s relic that should stay in it's era than try to be relevant! it's no longer relevant compared to stuff like Bojack Horseman, Rick and Morty, Archer, Bobs Burgers etc. as even Bojack Horseman has the same intelligent writing, good well timed sarcastic humor, relatable characters, excellent use of drama/emotion similar to Mother Simpson, anti-hollywood satire and brilliant writing of The Simpsons (1989 to 1999). Anything past season 10 is NOT The Simpsons, but a completely different show since 2000! it's no longer the brilliant, beautiful, hilarious, dramatic unique anti-authority/anti-hollywood satire with intelligent well timed sarcastic humor and excellent writing but something different called Zombie Simpsons. This show nowadays is like a dog that you love, had memories with but it's growing too old and can't be the same like the old days and it's time to put down that dog.
This episode for me is the best of The Simpsons. The amount of nostalgia i have for this is just so powerful that even today I still watch old episodes of The Simpsons and get ice cream from the ice cream truck on friday nights after almost 25 years.
Sadly, I don't think Bart would be Selma's favorite nephew. He would only be by default (as Marge is the only sibling of Selma to have kids and he is the only boy). If anything, Patty and Selma favor Lisa to bits (always saying how much she is from the Bouvier "side") and just throw Bart as being Homer's contamination on the world.
The beer goggles thing is truly one of those gags that you don’t get as a kid. Then when you become an adult you not only get it but wonder if you should have seen it as a kid.
