Just discovered this video and had to come to terms with the fact that this video considers 2023 "this future"...and 2013 wasnt far from 2015 which was considered the "future" in Back To The Future....fuck dude....
My grandparents were killed in 1975 when a drunk passed on a hill and hit them head on. He now has a family and my dad lost his parents. It’s never funny but I think this innovative idea was good.
He's obviously addicted to booze. NOTHING will force him to stop except crashing and becoming disabled or killed, or jail time; and for the truly addicted, jail time is only a temporary stoppage. Some of these hardcore juiceheads have caused more than one fatality accident. Maybe if they had shown him some photos of actual dead people in a burned car and told him he had done it, and showed him some official-looking documents declaring he owed about 3 million dollars for someone's death and they're glad he can now start paying it would have a lasting effect (and let him believe it for as long as possible). But he just took it all as the fun that it was. A GRAND joke, indeed. As long as booze is sold in public places there's always a chance they'll do something stupid AGAIN. They are POWERLESS IN THE FACE OF THEIR ADDICTION.
@@GoatRider166 I know my words seem mysterious and possibly frightening to many common mortals, but it's simply speech typical of persons with otherworldly powers and knowledge, Cletus.
How would this guy feel if a drunk driver killed his daughter!! That's what they should've told him!!! It would've got close to home for all the people that have gotten killed and the families and friends that are left behind😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
As a former lush, all I had left to care about me was my mom, and after burning that bridge so many times, she finally threatened to cut me off. I'm grateful she did, although it took me about a month to forgive her. But had I refused to give up the booze, I'd have been stuck in Lawrence, KS with no job, no car, very little money, zero friends, and nowhere to live.
eh, I've dated girls in that scene before...though in like 2009 when people did that. anyway, listen to Coheed and Cambria instead, they're better anyway.
This has to be on so many levels BS. You have to confess that there is no way this was legally allowed to happen. This was simply a gesture to kids "drinking while driving."
If thats what it takes good on his friend. I lost my licence for 8 years. Had to go true the interlock program. 3 years back driving ill never drink and drive again.
He did this because he loved him as a friend, five DUIs he concocted an idea to help him you can see the sincerity in his friends face stop posting your pathetic opinions he created this video set up to help him stop killing himself from alcoholism and drunk driving I salute his friend for going out of his way to try to save his life now that's a true friend.
bac level for dui conviction needs to be raised. i got a dui and wasn’t talking slurry or acting / swaying drunk i was perfectly fine i could drive better than some sober people i’ve seen in broad day light that night
That guy must be a total dupe! Did he notice the taste and smell of stale alcohol on himself? Didn't he notice the hangover? Btw, it's five years later, has he continued a life free of alcohol?
5 DUI arrests and still having a valid driver's license? The court that let him drive should be held liable if he ever kills or severely injures someone while driving.
@@kodyscot9360 DUI doesn’t mean he had a license. They probably took it away and he continued to drive drunk. Unfortunately have known a few people like that.
@@qQ-lh8cf To be fair though, you can basically just "move" to another state and get a new license after they take yours away for a DUI. The government is horrible at tracking misdemeanors and other minor offenses across states.
@@abes3925 Maybe I was projecting but I saw anger in the prankster in some of those slaps and "this is serious, you gotta get help". Forgiveness feels empty without some effort to fix the problem either in an individual or more broadly with mandatory detox & harsher penalties for 2nd offense.
2023 and he calls it the “television” Edit: Idk why I said “2023” here even tho it was 2019 when I commented this… (also I was talking abt how ppl say “TV” verbally instead of “television” so I thought hearing “television” was weird cuz most ppl don’t say that verbally (I THINK that’s what I was thinking at that moment XD) - 03/03/2024
anooseholay because maybe people live there own lives and make there own choices. People stop when THEY want to to stop them selves! Not when people try and make them.
Curtis Mercado in this case the state should take away his liscence. They can make him stop. Driving is a right not a privlege for this drunk ass idiot to flaunt.
@@curtismercado643 Youre right, people should live their lives their own way. But when youre doing something that puts other peoples lives in danger, there needs to be change whether you like it or not
Because he thought it was a prank after his prankster friend slapped him dressed as a doctor and laughed you think he didn't learn a lesson? Stupid. I would have thought that was a joke too which it was. Don't be dumb. I'm sure he learned something from this.
People forget that good people make bad decisions. Drunk driving is an awful thing but that doesn't mean every drunk driver doesn't deserve a chance at rehabilitation
@@helloworld4990 Did you watch the clip or what? The guy passed out for 3hrs and they pranked him to think he was in a coma for 10yrs. People who come out of years long coma aren't chonky and healthy-looking...
Yeah. You can't make someone do anything they don't want to do. If he doesn't want to get help for his addiction, he won't until he realizes that it's a real problem.
