I'm 13 years in the Army now. This is some real ass shit. It ain't for everyone, ESPECIALLY reception! Glad YT worked out for you bro. You had a higher calling.
Fast forward 4years later ,and it’s mad when you remember/realise that duke was once sitting on 83 k subs compared to his mil today ,narhhh ,I respect this guy 10x more now
Christopher García It’s really what you make of it. Some people had that gut feeling while others loved what they were getting into. I personally would say go cause you do get good benefits and it’s a good stepping stone for what you want to do whether you do 4 or stay for 20+ just take the good with the bad cause nothing in this world is peaches and cream
This reminds me of my time in the Air Force. I got in so much trouble for laughing in formation. They had to start punishing everyone else because I was always laughing, We had a big, buff dude break down crying too. Toughest part of basic was the eating schedule for me. My recruiter told me from the start that my relationship with my high school sweetheart would end and it did lol
Just FYI, not everybody’s Army experience is the same. Don’t judge whether you want to serve or not just by his experiences. The military isn’t for everybody. The Army sucks at first, but it changed my life for the better.
Man 7 weeks of seeing females and not being able to talk to them bruh when I got to basic training and the mti got on the bus screaming at us I was scared asf my heart almost jumped out of my chest no cap
It's a few years late, but the army/marines is NOT for people who want an 'easy time.' If you want something easy, join the Airforce or Navy. I been out of high school for 3 years, and I'm gonna start working out to Join the army. Retail is the worst shit ever, and I'm tired of it. Might as well join the army, and make the most out of it's benefits. Free College, Free Housing, Free Food, Free Healthcare, and all you gotta do is survive getting yelled at for 10 weeks, and after that do what you're told. Just like my dad said who served 20 years in the Army, you're gonna have good days, you're gonna have bad days, but the experiences are worth it. He was a recruiter, a Drill Sergeant, and a Bradley Mechanic. He told me the honest truth about how he felt about it. My dad is a stronger man than I am, but if he tells me I'll survive. Fuck it, why not. If I don't like it, just get out in three years.
Love the story time bro. Thank you for your service . I was also in for 7 years what was your MOS Brother . Me I was a 12B combat engineer airborne hooah. Anyway love your story brother . I follow you . Keep up the good work Essayons
As someone who is in the Army, this video had me dying 😂. But Special Operations is the way to go. I love staying in hotels rather than tents and working out when I want to. Much respect to you Duke for finishing out your contract 👏🏼
I went to basic training for the air force no cap I was scared asf that was the scariest moment of my life I didn't know what was finna happen no cap I cried like a mfer my first two weeks away from home I was lonely asf
Sorry your experience in the Army. I’ve been in 6 years. Definitely had shitty times but the army definitely changed my life for the best. With that being said, most days I wish I could just get out and do something better but it’s not that terrible! I did reclass from infantry so maybe that’s why it’s not too bad anymore lol. But definitely a good life experience. Props to you for sticking through though man! And I’m still here rocking with you🤙🏼
@@hunterj6290 I just got out in September. Did just under 9 years. 90% from the VA. It wasn’t bad. Had its moments where I hated it but ultimately those became great experiences I’ll never forget!
@@bananabrad6195 nice nice , I’m getting into nursing like becoming a rn and I just wanted to know if the military would pay for that .. or should I get that and then go into the military I’m 22
Salute man! You made the right decision, coming from the area you came from it was either the military or jail. Most of young fools would rather risk jail or death 🎉
Bruh.. the walk up the stairs pause...GTF off the bus, had me in tears laughing. This shit is true as hell. Been in the army for 16 years since that day for me.

The dude use to be on the practice squad for the heat he said was big as hell and the drill sergeants wouldn’t let him use the bathroom nigga was crying cause he peeed on himself. 😂😂😂 my first duty station was ansbach Germany. To Each Is Own, But I Did 10 Years Army & I Loved Every Second Of It. From Reception To Basic, To Iraq & Afghanistan To Korea. Traveled The World & Getting A Check & Benefits For My Kids & Myself For Life. Its Definitely Not A Dramatic & Bad As You Make It Seem.
Throughout this entire story I'm literally finishing dude sentences cause I know exactly how he felt and what actions would take place throughout boot camp etc 😂😂. Currently enlisted in the Navy going on 2 years.
Glad you got up out that jam bro I was in 3 years worst shit ever 😂. Only thing I got out of it was a residual check for the rest of my life at the cost of my health 🤦🏾♂️
that white guy joke was funny af but duke probably just never had any white friends in the army so he thought they were like just robots with no emotion whuch is not the case cause my 2 uncles were traumatized by the Army and Marines and one only lasted 1 yr and the other lasted 5 months
