Duke Nukem II Episode 1 GOG Version; DOSBox v0.74 with max 100% cycles. The purpose of cycles is to minimize loading times, which would be much longer with the auto (3000) setting. Original video date: 2016/02/16
Timing starts with the first frame of motion after the initial loading screen. Timing ends with the first frame of the endgame cutscene. For the purposes of making this speedrun reasonable, the default game speed is used, but you can technically make this game run about three times faster if you want.
This is a pretty dang fun run, especially in comparison to the first Duke Nukem (which is admittedly also pretty fun anyway). What makes this especially interesting is the flamethrower or, as I like to call it (and always will) the moon beam. The moon beam lets you propel vertically and reach areas you wouldn't really expect to reach, AND you can take with with you across levels. Needless to say there's exploitation to be had.

Shame you can't get any of the "no damage" bonuses. Wouldn't that make the bonus text scroll faster?

+Simo Vihinen You'd expect one bonus to be faster than none (given the whole "better luck next time" message) but it's actually a bit slower, so ideally you want to get no bonuses every time. This isn't always optimal: for example, in Episode 2 you want to collect a moon beam on level seven to use against the boss, but it's the only weapon in the level so you get the "collect all weapons" bonus. Of course, having bonuses available means it'd be very easy to have categories involving said bonuses, as each level would indicate very clearly that you accomplished it. I probably won't work on no-damage or anything, but it's definitely a possibility for aspiring runners!

You say "categories" when surely we're looking at one extra category, a 100% that involves getting all 7 of them every time. Good luck with the rest! I'll watch them for sure.
