Duke receives NIH grant for Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury research 

Duke researchers, led by Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery Lou DeFrate, received a $3.9 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to study anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries.
About 200 adult participants under the age of 40 will participate in an upcoming study to assess the impact of specific motions within the knee as they relate to the ACL and how it functions.
