So glad Lorna is doing well. We all had to have Judy’s daughter be ok, we all love this family who have given so much to all of us , entertained us, want the best for them.
I am one of the lucky one who have seen the original uncut version of "A Star Is Born" because I saw it at The Chicago Theater when it first came out in 1954. The Chicago Theater was a big first run movie house in Downtown. And then when "A Star Is Born" was released for the smaller neighborhood movie houses it was cut. Just because that stupid Jack Warner was told that the film had to be cut because it was too long to play 'double bill' in the neighborhood movie houses. And "A Star Is Born" has ALWAYS been my favorite movie and always will be.
Loving this! Loved your Grandfather’s movies and I LOVED your Grandmothers tv show I can remember seeing your dad on her show. One of my favorite things was how your mother said she ONLY had 3 cats BUT they had many changes of clothing! I USE that line now that I breed and show cats! Back-in-the-day I never liked English actors or their accents, and I thought that James Mason and Judy Garland would be an awful combination. But how wrong I was. After "A Star Is Born" James Mason became one of my favorite MOVIE STARS.
I have seen both the 1954 and 2018 versions and i have to say the 2018 is better. The chemistry between bradlley and gaga is off the charts, the music was related to the plot, and the pacing was better.
