And do you know y it isn't as big as telungu industry ... Bcz kerala is a small state..revenue from films from such a small state would definitely be less.. Yeah.. But actually our industry is rich in terms of the actors, directors and the kind of films it produces... 😍

THat's his modesty. The Malayalam industry has had lavish sets with detailed art direction in films that really demand them. 'Kalapani', 'Padayottam', 'Thenmaavin Kombath' etc. are examples. In fact, Sabu Cyril, India's most celebrated art director is from Kerala and he rose to national acclaim through Thenmaavin Kombath and Kalapani. The 1984 Malayalam film 'My Dear Kuttichathan', which was India's FIRST 3D film, had a 360-degree revolving set to shoot the gravity-defying song 'Aalippazham Perukkan 'which showed children walking on the walls and ceiling of a room. Such a set is STILL something cumbersome and beyond feasible levels in an average Indian production setup. The strength of Malayalam industry is that, lavish sets and good VFX are done at optimum costs, be it the world class jail interiors in Kalapani or the unbelievable revolving set in 'My Dear Kuttichathan'! It is just that, Dulquer hasn't been part of such a magnum opus production in Malayalam yet. But his stardom is touching the skies.. so it's obvious that he'll be cast in such movies in the near future. It is so overwhelming to see the Telugu audience pouring their love on him! That's the greatness of Telugu audience. They accept talent, irrespective of the language!
