Despite being named "Dumb ways to die", I think the best way to measure its success is looking at the serious injuries. The reason is, many of the deaths are from suicides, unfortunately. So for me, looking at the Australian results, it reached it's goal.

I also feel that the rise in American rail deaths(4:28) (from 230 in 2012 To 237 in 2012) might have to do with a change in suicidal tactics. Maybe taking after Japan in that way
