Sorry that clip is about 15 seconds long, and at freeway speeds (minimum 60 mph) you're going 90 feet per second, breaking 100 at about 70... and we (U.S.) have freeways up to 85 mph posted... SO low-balling, a majority of the Interstates she'd have gone 1500 feet on average in that time, closer to 500 yards, or 5 football fields more likely than 3... and not a CLUE in Hell what she'd missed, or who she'd killed in that time... SO for all you prospective drivers, go mark off 100 feet of road, and just consider how MUCH you could fit in that, for any "just a second or two" you decide to look away from the driving at hand... Think about that... and then TURN THE G** D*** THING OFF and keep it in the glove compartment or console, THE HELL out of sight, so you can drive. You can get the toys back out to play when you're not risking EVERYONE ELSE'S lives around you... ;o)

You forgot half of it. But things are new today. We always worry about killing somebody else if people do stupid things behind the wheel. But in my day, the stupid driver did not want to get killed either. The other half included here: ""Do not use the phone when you're driving. You're going to kill yourself, and maybe take somebody else with you." We have a "self". Don't forget the "self". :)

She's lucky that jacking up some siding is all that happened. If she had hit or killed someone, it would have been the end of her life. There's no text message worth hitting or killing someone. Even if you don't care about the other person's life, your own life will be mangled beyond belief once you get done with lawyers, jail time, and having to put that conviction down on every job application.
